The State of Isreal was created in 1948 by the United Nations.

Palestine has never accepted this ruling which effectively gave a chunk of their land to the Jews.

And while no doubt there were Jews there before, there was no Israel.

The Jewish Agency and the Haganah continued to smuggle Jews into Palestine. Underground cells of Jews, most notably the Irgun and Lehi, engaged in open warfare against the British and their installations. The British concluded that they could no longer manage Palestine and handed the issue over to the United Nations. On November 29, 1947, after much debate and discussion, the UN recommended the partition of Palestine into two states ­ one Jewish and one Arab. The Jews accepted the UN resolution while the Arabs rejected it.

But our nipped off friends don't seem to recall it that way.

Even back in Jesus' time there were not a 'majority' of Jews there. The fact is that until Israel was set up, the majority of people there were Arabs. The high proportion of Jews only exists because of the immigration when the state of Israel was set up.

The establishment of Israel makes me ashamed to be British. Look how much bloodshed it has caused. That again the British Empire did plenty of nasty sh*t so I'm best not worrying about it.

funnily enough...ive also came across 2 videos of iraqi prisoners being tortured by SADDAMS guards...and they consist of a group of about 20 prisoners being beaten to death with whips and planks of wood as well as one of uday hussein beating one of his own troops on the soles of the feet with a whip

Rejected is fairly overrated, it was mediochre when I was about 13.... I grew out of it ages ago.
