Ok people. I don;t know if all of you guys have seen reloaded or not, but. If the matrix isn't real then what is? When The Nebakanzer crew went looking for the osirus and sentinals came. How in the fuck did neo use an EMP in the "Real World"? So what i am saying, accourding to me and a friend of mine, we think that the human race has never been free. Even the machines either. Because how can a move only able to be used in the matrix, be used in the "Real World". Like Morpehus stats [What is real? How do you define real?] So what i am saying that the human race was never free, that them and the machines are ruled bye something else. feel free to reply anything anyone has to say. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

umm... you have come to the wrong place...

you will find that there are thousands of answers to that very question. No one really knows, but read the site that I'm sure knnknn will post. It will give you the gist of a few of them. My personal favorite is the SYSTEM THEORY... look it up on here.

And no I'm not doing the reverse Matrix theory either.

But isn't the idea of the plot to make us question the nature of reality, and even goes so far as to voice it in the dialogue "what is reality?"

Methinks something very interesting... what if the human race was actually created by machines. Hear me out on this one... what if A) the human race never existed before the machines created them or B) The human race became extinct as a result of the man-machine war and the machines recreated humans for energy and some alterior purpose. ONLY A THEORY:

The people themselves are real, only artificially created as such, while being contained outside of the matrixes of The Green world (the matrix) and the Blue world (the "real world"/Zion [a matrix also]). But that does not make their interactions fake. If the humans in the Matrix are all real in some other "dimension", then their lives are simply simulations, much like the life many of us "geeks" live today on the internet through avatars, with the evergrowing community of MMORPG's (i.e. Everquest, SW: Galaxies, and the upcoming Matrix) and to some extent, chating.

Therfore, Trinity's love for Neo is not fake. What is tragic about this love is that Neo may not even exist beyond the matrixes. She may be infact in love with an avatar.

As for the Animatrix stories, I believe you are reffering to the Second renaissance being fake. All the others happened in the realm of the Green or Blue World as we know it today. Second Renaissance is the only Animatrix which gives us a time pre-matrix. As for that, I am still giving birth to a theory I don't even believe in, so I cannot rebuttle. This is especially difficult becaues the W brothers actually played a big part in this two part short animation, so I can't disregard such a vital part to the plot.
