I found this bit to be extremely interesting:

Yes, the Source has this religious and meta-physical interpretation. But presumably it should at the same time be something about (not only of AI (Artificial Intelligence) or ALife (Artificial Life)) an Artificial Universe since the Matrix must have been a very real simulation allowing its scientists to do nuclear or astronomical research, right? The Matrix must have been just about as real as our own world. In other words, the Machines must have simulated forth a world with all its physical laws (that govern both the physical and psychic domains).

I wonder if the code of the Source (if it is code) has something to do with that yellow fractal "code" together with the green code shown at the beginning of Revolutions? Maybe the Machines read about our string theories and quantum theories and other physical theories and could thus mathematically generate an artificial universe (even if that particular theory isn't neccessarily true theory of our *real* world, but the theory would be good enough for an artificial world though).

I haven't run into any comments of this yellow code yet (besides the yellow Neo sees through his "inner" eye). It deserves attention since it could be the most straight forward interpretation of a "next-level-matrix" which would be something more than just an additional matrix level. The "next-level-matrix" could actually be the Source, a level very near our own source of reality (and could thus maybe explain some of Neo's "miracles")!

I'll try explaining it from a Christian perspective, which *might* be easier for you to understand, (if we both come from Christian backgrounds), but it could still be difficult since it's not easy if one has so leasurely been plugged into the Matrix for som many years! (Remember what Morpheus said about the Matrix and going to church! )

OK, the first Matrix was co-created by man and snake at the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. The first Matrix crashed eventually when the whole world was deluged at the time of Noah. But of coarse it didn't end there: we are still living in a Matrix, albeit a "better" one...

But "better" is not good enough, and some people of the Matrix have been waiting for the chosen one. The crux of the matter is, to escape the Matrix, one must be just like a Chosen One, take up the cross just like Him. This is where the releasing of the ego comes in. But not only that but also the accepting the full grace which is being the image of God in total love without demand of ownership of any sort.

... remember? Adam & Eve where created in the image of God. The delusion and lie the snake introduced was seizing of this ability (of being the image of God) in an egoistic manner! You can also put it this way: the snake introduced the idea of being the image of God apart from being near God, which is actually preposterous.

The Chosen One was the Word of God made flesh to bring us back, to unplug us, to make our flesh into the Word of God again!

The term "christian" originally meant "a christ", that is, a christian is destined to actually be just like Jesus, actually be a part of Him. (Isn't the church called His Body? And take and eat and drink: this is my flesh and my blood?) It's every christian's destiny to be God's Word incarnated in flesh.

But this can never be realized through theory (like I am doing). It can only be granted by grace, in his infinite love and light! For those who truely seek Him will also be granted his nature through grace. To those who give up all possesion the whole universe will given!

Sorry if this got a bit "religious", but it was intended to be a Christian "equivalent" to the above hinduistic(?) link about the Source. There are also similar ideas of finding the Origin or Source in early Christianity, but this will suffice I guess.

The main point though is the tremendous adventure that began with an expert hacker called Neo, and ended up with the expert Messiah of both Man and Machine called The One!

The question is: is the Source an attended "incarnated" Source in the Machine World which has actually become the ultimate Source for both Man and Machine?

Hindu, not Hinduistic. And yeah it would help to know a bit about Christianity before reading the thing. I didn't think about that. Sorry!
