Ive been thinking about how the super powers in the matrix relate to the real world. Shaolin monks can perform near miracles in strength and endurance, Buddhist monks tutored by the buddha were said to be able to perform feats that should be impossible, jesus performed miricles.

But keeping in the present day, with the shaolin monks and hot coal walkers; normal people can also perform feats of incredible strength when normally weak. Ive heard many stories of mothers being able to lift up 2 tonne cars to save their children (one of them being a bbc documentary), and others similarly to save others. Could these seeming miracles be accounted for by us being in some kind of program?
Or could it be that we have massive untapped potential of mind over matter? There seems to be a common theme in the incredible feats, in that they are to help loved ones (even the religious ones are in survice of others in the world)....could it be an inbuilt part of us used to help our race, genetics, family survive via evolution?
Please dont think me obsessed or crazy but when I try something hard, thinking its not real seems to help me suceed.
Is this due to being more confident when thinking its not real? or could it be that some data cable is in the back of my head and im being input set parameters of action, and when i think in a differnt way I ignore these factors? Think about things in your life and tell me what you think.
Please no replys just saying im nuts Smile
If you'ra going to say that then atleast explain your viewpoint.
Thanks

I also saw a film called black jack about a surgeon who was to operate on a new wave of humans who have world record breaking speed and strength, much like in "world record" in the animatrix series. These new humans (or chojin as it calls them) all develop crippling diseases just after the olimpic games.
It made me think, as humans arnt really challenged enough in the world to merit further phisical evolution due to survival of the fittest, perhaps our next stage could be via the mind and our concepts of reality? This could be aided by AI and computer simulations, this is similar to Jake Horsely's theory of the matrix being like a cacoon for the evolution of humans. Could then beginning to beleive what we see is an illusion help us to break out of the laws of physics? This is near to the view of the gnostics who beleive that by learning the truth about reality they can accend to heaven, could they have been right for so long?

I can see a 'Matrix' like simulation being used to test things out in the future that would obviously be hazardous to humans if attempted in reality. Bare with me but it would be like the Holodeck in Startrek, it produces a simulation that is so real you cant tell the difference. When we manage to produce something of that quality it will obviously be used by the military and science comunity first but the general population will get their hands on it sooner or later for recreational perposes.
Then it is only a matter of time before we start spending more and more time within these simulations or games as we can do things we cant in real life....who knows, maybe we will become addicted to it and we actually enslave ourselves to the machine and not the other way round?
