What is the source? And why the One have to go there? Here some thoughts that leads outside matrix and probably also back there:

There source is quite important in the matrix movies and I think one link goes to the *holy* books. They are the source of at least the european culture. It can be discussed which books are part of the source but I think it is more then Bible. There are the greek philosophers and also roman law. And certainly more than that.

In the case of Bible, there is also one important return to the source - the holy book - in the time of reformation, after the invention of typography. During the time of renaisance there are also claims to the return to the greek-roman source of culture. And in modern times, when someone want to go into the depth of certain issue, it is helpful to read the source - that is the original author, not only the commentators and explanations. Even if the original source is not really considered right or accurate, it is good to read it because it may explain certain customs or naming in the research area.

I don't know how it is in other cultures but may not be the myths considered as a source of the particullar culture? They were probably created and developed over time but they worked as guide in common situation and the attitude to problems also originated in the myths. In the mythological experience of what was said and what then served if no experiance was at hand.

And looking at this forum, the source is also quite important. If you unsure about something, what do you do? Return to the source! That is to the script, to the movie and the Wachowskis have said.

What I see quite interesting is the SEARCH for the source. WHY there have to be any source? Is there any evidence that there is any source of natural or human laws? Or do we search for the source just in order to change it, utilize it and possess the personal benefits that it may bring?

Why search for the source?
In matrix, I think, everyone’s interactions with Oracle personify this self-inquiry or search for the source. Her purpose is to unbalance to bring personal and global transformation and refinements. The search is the way out of status quo.

Sati, the connection love represents, has no purpose. It just is and in the realms where purpose reigns, she is vulnerable to deletion. Seraph is the alertness to protect these both vulnerable but precious instincts.
