Here is another story this one is not a joke. dont be too harsh....
Chris's Story
Life is grotesque at times. His life is a life not worth living. it seems like things are trapped inside him and he cant let them out. Its raining again. he hate it when it rains. Things look dark. Dark and deppressing. his life is a ironic story. They came to him. he did not find them. allthough he has been searching for them for years now. These so called hackers with powers. Its strange to think that all the time he was looking for them they were looking for him. Irony at its most purgent. Chris johnson, is a computer programer for a small software company. He used to be happy, full of life, that seems so long ago to him. As he looked out his office window into the distant skyskrapers around the city he found himself longling for a place to belong. He felt it. He knew there was something different about the world. It was only 2 nights ago that he finally met the man he had been searching for. A hacker who goes by the name Neo....
2 nights before.
As chris walked out of his office he put his coat on and walked past his secretary. "see you in the morning Mr. Johnson" she said looing at him as he walked out the door. He wasnt in the mood for pleasantries. As he walked toward the stairs to the parking garage he noticed a man in a black trenchcoat and dark rimmed sunglasses leaning against a far wall watching the stairwell. As chris walked by the man looked up at him. Chris stopped for a second. He staried at the man and then got a uneasy feeling about him. Chris walked the the stairwell door and opened it. thats when the man in black made his move. chris shot a glance at him from over his shoulder. the man was running toward him. the first thought that pooped into his head was that he was gonna get robbed. Chris started to take 2 steps at a time while he descended. the man folloew him. as chris went faster down the stairs his addreneline started pumping and he felt exilerated. he felt alive. as soon as he hit the landing he burst through the door to find 3 men and 1 woman stairing at Chris. All where dressed like the man chasing him. "what is this" chris yelled. The group looked at eachother and the one in the middle, a tall man with black hair and a light complection looked straight in chris's eyes and said. "dont be scared weve been looking for you, my name is Bezalel and we have been waiting for you. Chris looked around at the parking garage searching for more people. There were none. but the garage looked dark and grimy tongiht. its grey pillars and green ceiling looked ominous tonight. "what do you people want from me."said chris
Bazalel shifted his weight and started to talk" We are here to help you, but first you must help us."
Chris looked worried his eyes darting to everyone of the people. He felt a precense behind him as he turned he noticed the man from upstairs standing next to him. the man was short about 5"6 he smiled at chris as he stood there. "what is it i can help you with" asked chris
"have you been followed or talked to by anyone who looks like a government agent." asked Bazele
"no i havnt"
"good, now how about you come with us."
"how about i dont, i dont even know you people"
"yes but we know you, we know that you have been searching day and night for us or really for him. havnt you Zero. yes we know who you are, we have also been where you are, looked for him. we never found him, he found us. now its your turn. Coe with us. we will answer erverything"
Chris stood there for a second then steped toward Bazelel. "ok i will go with you."
As he got into the car he wondered where life was taking him. He remembers when he was little, running around the house. His mom looking on with loving eyes. When he was 18 and leaving for college he remembered what she said like it was yesterday. "Life will take you places, some places you wont want to go, some you will but wont have the chance, remember no matter what life brings you, i will love you forever." It warmed chris's heart to think about his mom. She sacrifised so much for him. 1 year after he left for college he got a phone call from his sister. his mom had died from a brain tumor. She didnt know about. he remebers going home to the life he thought he had. his walls came crashing down after his mom died. he almost quit school. but somethuing inside told him not too. he would fail his mother. "I wonder what mom would say to this" he thought as the clack caddilac exited the parking garage. They drove down 3rd street then went south about 2 miles to what looked like an abadnoned wharehouse.
we have arrived" said the short man.
As they all got out Chris thought maybe he was dreaming. he wasnt. Chris followed the rest up the stairs to a big room. it was old and dusty with a few coaches lined up on the wall and 2 chairs in the middle of the room. "have a seat he will be with you in a moment" said Bazelel
As all of them left the room. he felt alone. "what the heck is going on" he thought
Just then the door opened and in walked a tall man dressed in a black trenchcoat.
"hello zero, i see you have come"
"who are you and what is this"
"ive been looking for you"
"you were looking for me?"
"yes let me introduce myself, i am neo"
"your THE Neo?"
"yes"
"what do you want from me?"
"im here to help you, to tell you why you search at night for something, why you feel like theres more."
"why"
"its the question that drives us."
"What question?"
"What is the Matrix?"
"The matrix, Ive heard of this."
"of course, in your nightmares."
"yes"
"im here to tell you, you are a slave, to a system you cannot see, hear, or taste. a sytem that i want to free you from, when you are ready."
"im not ready?"
"no you have one thing to do before we can show you."
"whats that?"
"Ive been told to let you go, and then in 2 days meet back here and i will show you averything."
"Ok, but what is it i must do?"
"only you know"
And with that said Neo stood up and walked to the window and jumped out of it. Chris ran to it. too see nobody around. all the people where gone. as he walked down the stairs he saw a black cat, de ja vu he thought. From in front of him he heard a booming voice. "Mr. Johnson" Chris stoped walking and saw a tall man dressed in a black suit in front of him. "We need to talk, Mr. Johnson"
That was 2 nights ago, he doesnt remeber what happened after that man stoped him. As chris sat in his office he felt a pair of eyes on him, he turned his chair around to see the man in the black suit behind him.
"it is time Mr. Johnson"
"Wake up Zero" What was that, did i have a dream thought chris."no hes not ready" chris opened his eyes to see neo and a woman standing over him. his eyes stung. he then fell asleep again.
A few hours later....
As chris was finally coming too, he heard a bang of a door opening.
"zero, welcome to the real world." said neo
"where am i"
"you are the ship nebacanezzer"
"where"
"the question is not wehre but when"
"when?"
"its close to the year 2199, there was a great war at the end of the 21st century as the world gathered to celebrate the birth of AI. But our own creation turned on us. but we wil talk later today we need you to come and we will show you just what the matrix is."
With that he left and chris wondered if this was a dream, he pinched himself. OUCH no he is not dreaming.
As chis steped out of his room he looked up at a tall dark man.
"my name is morpheus, welcome aboard."
"nice to meet you."
"we are waiting a call from the oracle. until then come with me."
"what am i doing here."
Morpheus had a confused look on his face. "you wanted us to pull you out of the matrix"
"i did" said a confused chrs
"yes, you called last night and told link to get you out"
"the last thing i remember is being in...." his words stop as all of a sudden he was having a seizure. he fell to the floor.
"Trinity hes going into re-shock We have to plug him in."
Trinity ran in helped morpheus pick him up and then rushed him to the chair, they plugged him back intop the matrix."
Chris woke up screaming. he wa laying facedown in an ally. What was that he thought. Was that a dream. No it couldnt of been. Whats going on? He stood to his feet and stumbled out of the alley to a place he recognized as his apartment building. Hw walked up the steps and tried his key. it didnt turn. what the heck. he thought
"get out of here you bum" chris heard from behind it was his friend John.
"John, thanks God im having the worst day."
"really, not me, why wont your key turn."
"not sure"
"you sure you live here?"
"yes why would you say that."
"ive never seen you before."
"what weve been friends since High School"
"sorry i cant help you"
Chris stared as john went inot the building. Why hadnt he recognized me? what the heck is going on?
Chris began to walk down the stairs when a man in a suit walked in front of him.
"Mr. Johnson please come with me."
"Who are you, wait i remember you."
As chris said this he felt De Ja Vu again and blacked out. Hours later he awoke in a white room. The room was small except a man in a chair.
"thank you for doing this."
"doing what?" chris said
"the job"
"what job" chris screamed.
The man stood and walked to chris and looked right into his eyes.
"you were chosen to take part in an experiment, you helped us to figure out how they got people out of the matrix."
"what i did, no it cant be." as chris said this he remembered excatly what heppened.
The memories of it overwhelmed him, the agent came to me and took me to a room, he put me in a chair and did something to my head and then i woke up outside the matrix after the agent made me call link and tell im i was ready, it cant be how could i have stoped?
"you must now go back to them and tell them what happened, they wont be happy." said th man
"no"
chris stood and ran from the room into another hallway he ran down to the end to the window. he ran full force out the window. the glass sourounding him like a hrricane of sharp tacs. as he flew through the air he remembered what his mom said to him the last time she saw him. "Life will take you places, some places you wont want to go, some you will but wont have the chance, remember no matter what life brings you, i will love you forever." as he was about to hit the ground he thought
" De Ja Vu."
