»Matrix inconsistencies«

I was wondering about few things and wanna see your opinion.

1) As Morpheus said ...Your looks in matrix is just digital representation of yourself...

As far as I understand this is what happens:

You connect to the matrix, and your mind projects an image, Matrix loads it and stores it in memory so others can read from that part of memory when they (or you yourself) look at you...

I wonder how it is possible if most of the ppl didn't see themselves at all? Maybe machines of course use some equipment to scan your face and body and save that data...

But then people from Zion wouldn't have that scanned data...Strange...

2) Also sick or crazy people may imagine they are dragons or fish...Would they look like that in matrix too:)?

3) Also when person gets sick in reality...Obviously no one treats his/her disease...so his brain abilities may degrade slowly and for years...I wonder what effect it has in matrix...

4) I still think it's impossible to reject matrix since you're still plugged in and your brain is stimulated and even if you open your eyes you will still only see what matrix tells you OR there will be some interference...mixture of matrix and real world....

One of the proofs that if you open your eyes nothing will happen is when you lie in those cacoons whole your life you don't really feel that you're lying...why? Because matrix overwhelms your feelings....by stimulating your brain so opening eyes wouldn't make any difference...

Thats interseting. What do people who are sick look like. maybe thats what handicapped people are. maybe there brain couldnt produce an image thats why they act like they do....maybe there brain is rejecting the matrix and thats how it copes with it.

People born is Zion can't go into the matrix. They don't have the necessary "equipment".

Why would people get sick? They exist in pods. They only diseases they encounter are the simulated ones in the matrix.

I have been thinking along these lines as well.

The machines, having long studied men’s simple, protein based bodies.... - Animatrix.

They may of developed a way to generate an image from genetic data.

Also it said to be residual, something that is residing or left over, remaining etc.

I think both hardware and software of 'residual self-image' is contained in the technology within the head as can be clearly reproduced within a construct, apart from the Matrix.

Yes i agree. the self image is something that our brain sees....wouldnt it be wierd if they were wrong and you woke up and looked different but when you go back to the matrix you looked like you did before being freed?

I think embryos or a fetus with a physically genetic defect wouldn't really matter to the matrix. Now if it has a mentally genetic defect the matrix may work with the defect as best as possible. Like making someone appear to be handicapped as someone mentioned. Although, if the mental defect is or becomes too much of a hinderance then I believe the matrix would kill and replace the person. This might explain a question people tend to pose sometimes like "why do babies die".

Also kind of off the subject, but I wonder how women give birth in the matrix and how the matix assigns who will be a mother and father. Does the matrix ever make mistakes by making white parents give birth to a child of another race then making the husband think that the wife cheated or making the DNA test prove that someone is the father of a child when they aren't ha ha ha ha ha ha. Or better yet I wonder if the matrix could ever mess up and make a man give birth. Although, being in the matrix could explain why some men have psychosymatic symtoms of being pregnant when their wife is pregnant. Also, if the matrix makes mistakes then it might also explain why some people feel like a man trapped in a woman's (real) body and vice versa. LOL

its just not the brain its the whole body....every major part of you is connected....not just your mind...thats why it feels so real.

I don't think you're right but even if you were then you would just reinforce my statement...

Now major parts of body are connected but it's mostly nervous system....

watch M1 again....when neo wakes up and they take the thing out of the back of his head he hass all these wires disconnect themselves from him...along his spine, arms im guessing legs and other "things" were also connected, to me thats major parts of the body

That's the thing...You "guess" too much...

It was brain...spine all the way and the only thing that had nothing to do with nervous system and was still connected was shoulders....I am not sure why they would need to connect muscles to matrix though...

Go to biology class more often then come back and correct that post

There are different types of connection

The one in the back of the head deals with everything to do with what your body senses - that's why that's the only one they need to jack in.

The other connections?

Well think about it, why are they there in the first place?
