Mona Lisa Overdrive??

On the soundtrack for THE MATRIX RELOADED, the freeway chase music is titled MONA LISA OVERDRIVE.

This is clearly a reference to the book by William Gibson. But is there anything significant to the freeway chase that it's called that??

The reason why I'm asking is because of the other Gibson references (most likely unintentional).

For those who don't know, that Gibson wrote...
NEUROMANCER: A book that has a virtual reality called "the matrix," a city named Zion, a "mirror-eyed girl street-samurai," and the enemy was "an unthinkably powerful artificial intelligence." It was written in 1984. Check it out. Funny, they failed to make a film of this in the early '90's. Plan was to feature some slo-mo shooting sequences. Interesting.
JOHNNY MNEMONIC: Which became a movie starring Keanu Reeves.

Any ideas on the title MONA LISA OVERDRIVE for those who've read it?

Alright, I guess no one here has read it. So my conclusion is that the term "overdrive" seemed suitable for the freeway chase and it would be a cool reference, thus MONA LISA OVERDRIVE.

I suggest you read NEUROMANCER first. It is the first installment of the Sprawl Trilogy which, as the site above said, ended in MONA LISA OVERDRIVE.

There are several similarities between NEUROMANCER and THE MATRIX. When I finish NEUROMANCER, I'll be posting a list of stuff that's similar.

They also tried to make NEUROMANCER into a film and the script is online. So if you're interested in that, then you can go type in Neuromancer script into a search engine and you can find the script.

Thank you

I was really confused when I went to see the Matrix for the first time because for some reason I thought it was based off of Gibson's book Neuromancer.
