Stupidest moment in Revolutions?

I'd have to go with Smith's laugh after he takes over the Oracle. When I saw part in the movie theatre, my friends and I all looked at each other and started to burst out laughing. We couldn't stop laughing for like ten minutes after that.

Oh, and sadly, some idiots in the back started cracking up when Trinity died at the end. That really ticked me off. I found nothing funny about that scene, although when Neo starts crying right before that scene ends I kind of laughed at his high pitched noises.

That face reminded me of the Wizard of Oz. It reminded me so much of of it that I thought that we'd spot a machine pulling back a curtrain to reveal the Architect working a bunch of levers and talking into a mircrophone....

That would have been the correct way to end the movie. Oh, and we can't forget Neo's last line after waking up....

For me its the end, it could have ended with the Architect saying "what do you think i am, human?"
Instead we get the Oracle saying she "believed" repeated and going off with a cheesy smile. - with ofcourse more references to Christ [will we ever see him again? I expect so, one day]

That kinda weakened the ending for me

The whole ending part with the twilight and the "will we ever see him again?" was too cheasy...

I absolutly exploded into laughter when Smithykins takes over the Oracle and does that generic evil bad-guy laughter. I 'bout fell out of my seat.

I also started laughing near the end when Mr. Anderson throws that REAALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY slow motion punch to Smithykins. I just watched his face flop around like jello and couldnt stop laughing, it wasn't really a dumb scene, it just kinda threw humour into a scene that wasn't supposed to be humorous.

The Sentinal face was pretty dumb too, the second I saw it I expected it to go "I AM OZ! THE GREAT AND POWERFUL!" or something along those lines.

I was discussing dumb parts with my friends and one friend said that he thought the whole brawl at the end was retarded, then my other friend said "The ending battle was so Dragonball Z!" I kicked them both in the shins really hard.

did you note that when it shows a shot of neo's feet, you don't see smith runing at him at the same time, and the same thing with smith? you don't see neo running at HIM, either?

Nah the worst bit was when smith flys at neo in the creater and you can so badly see how fake it is with the wire work its so slow and stupid. best thing was when i came out of the movies i heard like 4 people (mostly girls) say thats was great but what was it all about?

In fact there are many inter-textual links between the matrix and the wizard of Oz. Many of them are completely intentional.

"Kansas is gone bye-bye" Cypher

The bullet time special effects could be compared to the amazement the original audience felt when the movie changed to Technicolor. Both were massive technological advances for the day.

I would also go as far to say the similarities between 'deus' and 'the wizard of Oz' are deliberate.

Funniest thing ever: at the end of reloaded (2nd movie) you see bayne on the hospital bed in the final scene, with the corny evil music. The final fight scene at the end of revolutions was awesome thought, even if it was dragonballz-esque.

I agree. that sucked pretty much for a blockbuster like that.

I think the stupidest part was Smith's speech when he was yelling at Neo because he kept fighting. Smith is supposed to be all calm and controlled but there he just busts out and starts screaming and yelling. He gets completely out of character

Why Mr.Anderson, why, why, do you persist?!?

My pick for most stupid moment would be the explanation of the Oracle.

Neo:"Tel me how i seperated my mind from my body without jacking in. Tell me why i stopped four sentinels by thinking it."

Oracle:"The power of the one extends beyond this world. It reaches from here all the way back to where it came from."

I was stunned that that issue (the whole community philosophized so many months about) was nodded off that easily and cryptically.
Some extra explanation wheter Neo is partly a program or genetically engineered would've been helpful.

What? I didn't know anyone was still confused about that.

Those of you old enough to remember might think of the whole aerial fight as overdone, not only in dbz but also in Superman II. Especially the kicks and throwing opponents into bldgs.

Psychotic program with a serious inferiority complex and a lust for destructive power suddenly has the power of forsight and power over his domain and you expect him to just press his fingertips together and mumble "excccccelent..."?

He is officially the baddest motherfucker in the Matrix and he can't believe he's seeing himself standing over Neo's limp body in the crater.

That moment never made me laugh. It fucking freaked me out. I was like "what could he possibly be seeing that's making this usually-cool character erupt in such hysterical laughter?". Look at his eyes. He's physically watching jimself standing over Neo's body.

What you call 'philosophising' I call premature ejaculation.

Those few words have such incredible resonance that not realising that can only mean that you still haven't grasped it.

Neo is a cyborg, designed to be hooked into the machine network via a wireless connection to allow him manipulative abilities within the Matrix, and his greater potential to tap into the rest of the machine world is cut off at the risk of death...a risk he faces and overcomes when he enters the trainstation instead of dying due to his love for Trinity.

As that cookie-baking granny would say, "I thought you'd have figured that out by now".

Shit, they spend so much time prepping and discussing and criticising every little detail in these films, I seriously doubt that letting the main antagonist "get completely out of character" at one of the pivotal moments of the saga is something that would go overlooked.

Jesus Christ, just look at the first film with Morpheus' interrogation. Look at the first film with Smith's reaction to Neo once he becomes 'the (fake) One'. Look at the extremeties to which this lowly enforcer program is being pushed in his viral state. Is there any doubt that we're seeing that thing that happens in many films? You know...a character arc perhaps?

Christ...
