»Neo, Morpheus, Trinity«

Hi again, I´ve read some posts about matrix comparing with some Bible passages, specially with the Jesus one, I don`t know if somebody has posted it before, but...have you noticed the names of the three main characters? I mean Neo, Morpheus and Trinity, obviously, Neo-New, Morpheus- Modified and trinity the same, so maybe its the NEW AND MODIFIED TRINITY, what do you think?

NEO for ONE , Morphues is the name of the GOD OF THE DREAMS in the ancient romanian empire , and trinity for trinity (purest,love,caring..etc...)

The interpretation you had was kinda cool, but I think NEO is called that way because it is an anagram of ONE, also the translation into NEW works, which is strictly related to Jesus. Remember he said he was the one that makes all things new.

MORPHEUS is the ancient god of dreams in Roman Mythology. In this case, the name Morpheus is a direct reflection of this character's personality. Morpheus is a pure idealist and a dreamer. He believes in The One so blindly.

And as for TRINITY, I really can't say anything other than it is an allegory to the relationship between the three main characters. Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity.

Aladdinamerican you must remember that everyone's interpretations of names and other such things are different and dont necessarily need to mirror your interpretations. With interpretive work there is no one right or wrong answer to `questions'. There are many.

I do respect all the opinions thats why i didnt make any fun of u .. becoz the NEO and ONE thing and MORPHUES is what the brothers wants in the first place and put it out of the disscusion for us .. visite the Matrix philosophy in the official web site of the Matrix..the say so

i agree with u that there is no right and no wrong and it depends on each one thinking... but the Brothers made some RULES and BASICS that we cant disagree on ,, and we use these BASICS to guide us not to prove them wrong.. its like if u say that Trin is the ONE , but anyway i respect ur opinion and i said its interested coz i've never thought about it like that,but its just that i believe they have deeper meaning thats all..god bless u
