in the room where neo fights with weapons(finally!) with marv's goons there are a lot of human forms or something on the ground in the design...has anyone slowed thsi down and seen a meaning for any of it? plus theres a big m on the wall too..but it could be a crest for the marv owning that place...

the crest on the wall is slap bang where gos should be...it is a depiction of judgement day and the mero obviously sees himself as a god

as for the ground...i only saw the black line markings

the official site has a interactive flash programme of the mansion in which you can pan around and zoom in on things...you should try looking there

I'd say the statues are of the Merovingians, the real ones. I'm more interested in the room right before the garage, with all the flags. The emblem thingy on them is the same as the Boy Scout embelm, of course I have no idea if they made it or took it from somewhere else. One flag has crosses(very fancy ones) on it. Now I see it. They have these six things (deer skulls) each has two flags crossing one has the emblem and one the crosses. From flag to flag they get bigger.

Symbols on the floor and color of the chamber-fighting scene

There is also one big M on the floor in the center of the chamber, more or less. And interesting thing is that the last warrior is killed by Neo while lying exactly on this M. It looks like Neo symbolically killed also Merv.

zionmainframe.net...

Merovingian then replies: "Damn it, woman, you will be the end of me. Mark my words, boy, and mark them well. I have survived your predecessors, and I will survie you!"

(Why marking Merv's words? Do we have to take it literally?)

Another picture on the floor, just next to this M, is a hexagram with some carvings on the sides, within which is the equiangular tringle, within which lies hexagon with three warrions inside it, holding the same ring in the center.

Here are the pictures, much better than my desription:
zionmainframe.net...

Interesting are also the colours of the whole scene - there are just three: black people (warriors, Neo, Merv), ornaments on the floor, stairs and pillars, white are only statues and the rest - walls, railings and the rest of the flooor seems to be somehow yellowish.

Another pointing out at trinity: 3 colors and also the 3 warriors on the floor holding the one ring? But also the duality symbolized by the contrast of black against the white/yellow.

Mark also that the white statues are being destroyed by black warriors. Statues are from past, isn't it like fighting the past (the old version of matrixes) and smashing it into the pieces?

@titek,

your links go to restricted part of another board.

You have a problem with security. You believe that you are special, that somehow the rules do not apply to you. Obviously you are mistaken. You do not have permission to access this area of the Zion Mainframe.

Perhaps you could repost them on this one.

By the way, there is also a matrix-explained.com... on the door in M2 when Neo couldn't sleep, went for a walk in Zion and meet Hamann.

Dooes it mean anything? Are there any characters like for a blind people, for instance?

Any ideas?

Did you meant this matrix-explained.com...?

I don't know the picture but I guess at that the place where the big M lies should be Jesus Christ, don't you think? Then it should probably be painting of Judgement day as was suggested before in this thread.

So, if Merv replaced Jesus on the picture of Judgement day, isn't it like it is he, who actually judges? (at least he thinks he does) Who? The exiles? Maybe ... he decides wheather he accepts them, or let them go for deletion ... it is somehow like deciding who is good and who bad ... but only for Merv's purposes Twisted Evil

It can also support the theory that Merv was the previous One, that he played the role thas is now played by Neo.

Actually, while looking at the screenshots there is matrix-explained.com... where Neo's head visually replaces M on the painting ... it's like he is going to replace Merovingian!

This could be further evidence that Merv IS Neo's predecessor in some way. That Merv used to be the first The One and it corresponds with what Persefone said about him to Neo: "He was like you."

i noticed his head replacing the m last time i saw it as well...your right... if you do think about it merv is the ruler of this "matrix" in all the self endulgence, only enjoying the feeling, not looking for a higher reason...much as in the deffinition of satanism i believe...keeping the theory of merv=satan...and as many believe satan to be in control of our world now, the painting could represent this, then when neo's head apears instead could be meaning the change is coming...

I don't think the Merovingian and Neo have any connection. The Merovingian even mentions that he has dealt with Neo's predecessors, so that means he can't be a previous One. Besides, Merv is just a program in the matrix who decided to hide in there and not return to the source, meanwhile the Ones are born within the matrix, reach the source, and eventually reload the matrix allowing Zion to be destroyed and another One to appear.

I don't think Merovingian really rules the matrix. But he wants to (and that is the satanic element in him) - "What all the men with power wants? More power."

Maybe he was kicked out of machine world due to his ruling ambitions ... (as satan fell on earth). This theory is of course in contradiction with the one where Merv is seen as the previous the One (maybe he was just 'digitalized' and lost his humanity and become the self-endulgent program we saw), which seems to be based on single sentence by Persephone "He used to be like you".

Now it seems to me more probable that Merv used be a rebel -- in the machine world -- a kind like Neo in matrix and therefore he was exiled. It could be related to his 'emotional' bahaviour, although the emotions he shown to us were only the negative-ones; also if he wanted power even in M-world (machine world Twisted Evil ), that could be a plausible reason for exiling him but not deleting because also other programs may turn to be like him -- potentially unpredictable and therefore dangerous -- and there is a chance of studing his anomalous behavious within matrix ...
