On Revolutions, when the Trainman arrives to pick up Rama-Kandra & family, they leave a suitcase behind. You can see it when Neo lies on the floor after the Trainman punched him into the wall.

Later, on the scene right before Trinity arrives, the suitcase is gone.

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

i wondered the same thing,
here's my thoughts, when neo asks "can i carry that for you" there is a pause and then the program says yes as if he knew neo would offer to help. If the oracle told the program that neo would offer to help, and to let neo help, there must be a reason for this to happen. But i see no reason or cause for the bag to be left there.
perplexing situation!

The wall wasn't magically repaired. The thing is that in the wide shot you see Neo sitting in the bench the damaged portion of the wall isn't shown. It's left of where the screen ends.

Yeah that's right. It's the LOOP train at that point. Also the Trainman created this place. RamaKandra does take one of his suitcases, but he himself had two. Neo carries the 2nd one & it falls flat onto floor in process of talking w/trainman.

It's when Neo starts to leave, the loop process starts & suitcase automatically dissapears just like it would in a computer like that.

Looks like was meant to be, lol.

Travelling while podless I found a baby sentinal & put it in my fishtank. It had sunglasses on but now they're off. It's in the Power of BELIEF!

Ok no, you're all wrong.

The wall isnt repaired or coded back together by the Trainman either. That would make no sense whatsoever. There is no `looping' occuring, Indy. I dont know where you came up with such a proposterous idea. And yes, I know about the LOOP on the train. You know thats not the same train which goes to Mobil Ave, right?

We just dont see that segment of the wall in the scene where Trinity comes into the station. Infact, we dont see that whole 1/4th section of the station where the bag was left behind. So it is assumed that the bag is still there. We just cant see it.

End of story.

I guess you could be right. Maybe we just don't see that section of the wall. But I'm pretty sure the suitcase is missing. I'll have to see it again when I have time.

yeah its not he same train.. and even if it was.. i don't think it's particularly significant.. there is part of downtown Chicago (the Wachowskis hometown) known as the Loop.

It has been suggested that Rama-Kandra represents a certain figure in Hindu mythology and that he meets Neo to pass the torch. What torch? His suitcase of course! That's why it gets left with Neo -- it represents Neo's new destiny: His cross so to speak.

Hmm....but why dont we see it then? Why doesn't Neo take the suitcase with him back to the Matrix. The character you speak of is Parshurama.

Hey!

... This might be the lost puzzle piece about the "How in the world did Neo get jacked in again into the Matrix (that is, jacked in the *normal* way) so that they could jack him out again"-question!

In a hypothetical old script, Neo asks the Oracle how he can return to the real world, and the Oracle says something about fixiing that problem for him. He gives him candy or somehing or other, and then <zoom> he snaps back to himself in the real world again. (I don't know if the "hypothetical old script" is genuine or not, but in any case, it is a question which seems to have been a problem which they later just dropped and hoped that the audience wouldn't raise any questions against. Anyway, it's almost a logical glitch).

Well, we don't really see Neo and Trinity actually getting on the train, so we don't really see if he takes the suitcase with him. Maybe the suitcase is some "plugged-in" connectiion-ware, which Rama understands he may need, and by carrying it Neo enables himself to get plugged in again.

Just speculation of coarse, but the thing of succesion from Rama to Neo plus the need of that missing puzzle piece of how he's supposed to get plugged out, gives a nice interpretation to the "missing" suitcase!

What I call a "hypothetical old script" is found homenetz.com....

Either it's an old script, or someone knew part of the script and filled in the rest, or some had a good time fooling everyone.... judge for yourself.

Quote:

Neo wonders how it is possible for him to return to the real world, and she [the Oracle] gives him a red pill. She says he will have to go into replication. Neo takes the pill and bids farewell to the Oracle. His code dissapears and his eyes open in the real world.

Hmm....probably someone did it themselves. I dont think the Wachowskis wrote this. I'll still check it out though. Thanks.

I have a slightly different interpretation. It is clearly shown that the suitcase is left behind with Neo. Now, what is "in" the suitcase? Is this just a prop to make things look real within the Trainman's world? Or does it contain some essential code? If so, would Rama-Kandra be lessened in some manner when he gets back to the system?
