why ? becoz he found out that he is NEO's negative which means he has the power to CHOSE to Disobey


Wow alladin. good point, smith is free to choose. But maybe not that free... dependent on NEO^s evolution.
Remember: In Matrix 1 when NEO gets back into the MAtrix to save Morpheus he did the choice for the first time. And what did happen....!

Smith sent out the other agents (crazy enough, wow), disconnected himself (the earplug), and chooses to talk to Morpheus honestly and without the other agents watching him.

Maybe the link between Smith and Neo was always established since this scene took place before smith^s "destruction".
Any ideas on that?

Smith was connected to NEO all along , even when NEO was a normal human , Smith didnt realize this connection except when NEO destroyed him , but it was there in the first place , and NEO realized the connection in M3 when the Oracle told him that he is his NEGATIVE

to Balance the quation it means that SMITH and NEO must b equal in power , NEO is doing a revolution on the Rules...every time he become stronger... at the same time the SYSTEm to balance the Equation it makes Smith stronger too , or he lears it by a someway

it would b to infinite... but to end it the ONE and his NEGATIVE must b destroyed so the SYSTEM became balanced again

for this one who mentiond the DIGIT's NEGATIVE ...the NEGATIVE of a number is its (-) .. so the NEGATIVE of 2 is -2 not 1/2

2 x 1/2 = 1 but 2+(-2)= 0
