"You" says an agent to Smith during burly brawl.

"Yes, me" says Smith just before he clones himself over the agent.

"Me too" says the cloned Smith....(He walks to fight and steps on a tomatoe)....

Little snips of dialogue like that drive me crazy. Are they supposed to be funny? I have no clue.

Another part was where Neo seemed mad at the Oracle (right before the burly brawl) when she told him he must go to the source. When he first came up to the bench, she invited him to sit, and he said "I think I'll stand'.

Why would Neo be so mad? Just because he can't sleep with nightmares? And is he mad at the Oracle? Or just confused on what to do?

Then he sits down and says 'I felt like sitting'....a moment of silence passes....yet another part of Reloaded that is wasting precious time for absolutely NOTHING.

At the Merovingian part, he explains how the greatest feeling of human pleasure (referring to an orgasm) makes nothing else in the world matter during that time. He took a long time to explain this though, and they had to show that girl eat the cake that had a build in orgasmic code which 'affected everyone around her'. This part, in my mind, WAS NOT significant to the Merovingian's nature. Sure, maybe it was the cake's code which caused the girl to go to the bathroom, which caused the Merovingian to follow her in for his own pleasure, which caused the Merovingian's wife to get angry and give them the keymaker. But they didn't have to take such a long time with that scene because his wife had obviously forgiven him in Revolutions when we see her sitting with him in the club. The only important thing to know about the Merovingian is that he wants power....not that he is obsessed with talking about the sexual side of human nature.

Yeah, all those bits around the burly brawl were humor. The brawling it's self had a good dose of humor put into it. Neo saying that was not anger.. but more about his want to believe in his own free will. IE He wanted to sit, but then the Oracle had to offer him to "have a seat this time". Kind of like a mind game between the two.

As for the restaunt scene. I think it was designed to be absolutly revolting. The Merovingian is "date" raping her and none of them can do anything about it because "Well, it looks like every floor is wired with explosives.". Trinity immediatly after says "Touch me, and that hand will never touch anything again."

Sure it leads to all those other events, but the scene it's self was suppose to be "uncomfertable", and the reason they made it sooo drawn out.

Now stuff in Revolutions was REALLY cheesy.

"Are you from the Matrix?"
"Yes. No. I was"

"Neo....I believe"

The punching scene with Neo and Smith of course.

"I need to get out of here. I'll pay you whatever you want"

"But sir....I never finished the training program"

"Neo....I believe"

That, Kid: ''Neo...i believe'' was extra cheesy....I wanted to cover my eyes and burn of my ears when I heard that....

Revolutions was unbelievably cheesy. The entire Zion-is-getting-wasted scene was completely mauled by focusing on two 'heroes' and the incredibly unlikely stuff they pull off. The worst part was when the Kid takes the assault leviathan from the dying general....and procedes to survive. How likely is that?

Also, the ending was terrible. Pure cliché.

I am a liar. Therefore, I don't believe what you're saying.

The Human instinct for survival is very strong..In those kinds of situations you would be surprised what can be accomplished.

And it was his purpose. Cool

I didn't mind this line so much, but a couple of my friends have said how much they dislike it. The bit where Morpheus says "is this real?" at the end.

I don't see the point in naming half the movie as cheesey, most things in the movie are in reference to something (I'm not talking about the philosophy and all that, I'm talking plot wise.) "Neo i believe" was slightly cheesey but its all for a reason and its Kids thing. He's a strong believer in the one, didn't notice it? Well then you're an idiot.
That and Persophenes "she'll do it, she's in love" are the only two lines in the whole movie that actually struck me as cheesey regarding to how much the movie had been set up and developed. Persophenes line was cheesey because
A.) it involved love
B.) NO SHIT SHE'S IN LOVE

Well..... here I am.

Well quite frankly "she's in love" was needed to make that scene make sense.

If it just had these two lines (which are both damn cool) without "she's in love" in the middle, look how silly it'd be!:

Persephone: She'll do it. If she has to she'll kill every one of us.
Merovingian: It is funny how similar the pattern of love is to the pattern of in-san-ity!

My point is that it should've been as good as those two lines. "She's in love" is just so bloody obvious.

HA, Morpheus sounds like an oboe when he talks to Zion.

Yeah! He does sound like an oboe! Also, have you ever noticed how much he's spitting when he giving that speech.

The only part I hated was when Kid said "Neo, I believe". And by the way, I also thought Morpheus's speech to Zion was excellent.

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

Well you probably remember me saying in the "best speech" thread - I thought the Morpheus speech to Zion was a bit crap in comparison to other speeches. It just didn't measure up....

"But sir," Kid said - "I didn't finish the training program."
A pause. "...neither did I."

that's a cliche, and so is "neo- I believe." (Didn't he believe long ago already?)

i dont recall much of the quotes and speeches (ok, SOME speeches) being that cheesy at all. smith saying "me. me too" was actually linda cool, giving you insight on how greedy and self absorbed smith actually is. absorbed, lol, thats actually a good one, but pretty cheesy i guess on my part. Kids "neo, i believe" was probably the only one that actually was cheesy, but then again, its somewhat touching, because Neo is like the Jesus character, so its more like " If you knew that Jesus was up there fighting for you, and you really believed in Him, then what would you do and/or say"?

I'd say the same thing . "Jesus, i believe".
