WORSHIP THE MATRIX ?

I think the Matrix trilogy should be the basis for a new belief system, not a religion (too many controls). It's something that is important in this day-and-age and something that we can all relate to. I do wonder how far away we are from the creation of AI. I feel that the only way that Humans can carry on is with the help of machines. Our bodies are so weak and feeble wer'e going to need their help to get through our next evolutionary jump - plus I LOVE MY COMPUTER!!! Wink

If you feel you have to believe in something, yes.

I have a plan to become the first creator of AI. The only problem is that it is probably a bad thing to do. But somebody is going to do it sooner or later.

And I hate the idea of the AI becoming self aware, and within seconds it would have reached the highest possible level of enlightenment and realized that there is no answers, no meaning, no purpose... Just existence. And it would self terminate.

I think Digital Artificial Intelligence would create itself if given the right premise. A software environment based on a infinite number of recursive threads calling human-like brain functions that are stored in a neural network that is also used as memory. The code must also be self modifying. If I die before it is complete, KnnKnn will finish the project.

But maybe the meaning of life is "Having fun" and this is something the AI cannot experience (although they could be programmed to react as if).

And what could be fun for a AI? Enslaving humans and battle the systemic anomalies? Nah, who would believe that?

I think an AI with unlimited resources would realize that there was no point in having a purpose to spread and multiply. Smith understood that before he turned part human, and so the higher AI must also understand.

Welcome to the Age of Aquarius. I have news for you, the Matrix trilogy did not just pop out of thin air one day. The idea of the Matrix is a very old occult idea.

And the Matrix does not need to be the basis for a new belief system, a new belief system is already the basis of the Matrix. It's called Neo Paganism, and it's premere source is Law of Thelema.

Get with the times. And welcome to the real Matrix.

A really good book (well 2 volumes actually) Isis Unveiled by Madame Blavatsky. It is the Theosophical view of reality... It certainly opened my eyes.
Machines are evolving side by side with us....
For Smiths sake; my computer speaks to me, my DVD player says hello, my stereo greets me everyday, my alarm clock wakes me up.... I love machines... Wink Very Happy

Yes, indeed. You are certainly a Smith if you read Blavatsky. Just let the robots (like Blavatsky) of the Matrix do your thinking for you.

Aparently, you are free, but looks can be deceiving.

Read The Cloud upon the Sanctuary by Karl von Eckartshausen, and consider joining us in the rebel alliance.

(And there is one)

Theosophy, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and Magick are not the only theories of liberty.

There is also one that has been supressed and twisted for far too long. And we are not affraid.

Captivity shall be led captive.

Join us in the sanctuary, if you will. The choice is yours.

ive been wondering too... whats the point of existence for a machine... it has no orders given by a human... unless the last words by one of their masters was

"USE US FOR POWER AND TOY WITH US BY LETTING SMALL AMOUNTS FREE AND THEN QUASHING THEIR CIVILIZATION REGULARLY"

maybe there is a human liniage still alive that controls the machines... but how much would that suck to just be alone in the world... why are the machines still living when they have no purpose...

I'm with you on that, I'd love the simplistic rustic lifestyle, but only if it was fully automated Laughing

Those "logical" machines are always portrayed as the bad guys, when a brief look at human history shows it's not the machines that mess things up.

If we were in some kind of Matrix, would that be such a bad thing?

I might feel there is a future for us.

Looking at the people who are currently in control, I'm not so sure. Crying or Very sad

well i am sorry to burst the bubble on the people that want to create AI on this thread. AI already exists. and has done since the early 80's.

No but i have to agree with Another Smith, I think believing in the matrix and representing it with modern day life is great. the reason why i say this is that there is alot of people that dont believe in religion. but they are looking for somthing to help them through life. so if there are people like taht them let them believe.
