if anybody can rip and post the scene when neo wakes up in mobil ave and you see the shot of sati looking down at him

as the light dims and she comes into focus she clearly has a halo surrounding her that is reminicent of stained glass window images of jesus

just a little something to think about while formulating those theories

Well, my friend, I'll make a screen capture fron the DVD and I'll post it here and on my topic, but sadly, we seem to be the only ones interested in this. Nono

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

I agree that Sati definitely has a halo for a second. Even if it is just a trick of the light, as Neo opens his eyes, this alone does not preclude the halo's possible significance; a halo is considered by some to be part of one's aura, which can be seen (according to some) if you squint just right.

The halo can also be considered something like a crown. Jesus' halo shows that his Kingdom is real, and Christian (read: Gnostic) initiates imagined a halo of light on their heads -- "The light has become a crown on my head" read Pistis Sophia 1.59 (click here: gnosis.org... and scroll down to chapter 59)

At the top of the Kabbalah Tree of Life is the Sephirah ("sphere") of kether, or crown. The chakra at the top of the head is also called the crown.

In short, the halo could represent enlightenment/nirvana/gnosis, on Sati and elsewhere.

Nice work with the research there, or perhaps you already knew all that stuff.

I just wanted to say that Sati's Halo is definitely not coincidential. It's obviously a visual effect added in post-production. You'll see when I post my screen capture tommorrow.

Through out the film sati is connected to "light" a few times through out. First in the station when Neo wakes up. when Smith enters the building to assimilate them and the oricle the lights go out. Sati turns to Serrif and says that she is scared (so would I if I was in a building they went out like that on me!) The dark is signal that something is wrong. And finaly, at the end, when she points at the....sunset?

"Did you do that?"
"For Neo"

What ever the hell it was, it was really bright!

Just some ramdom, probably worthless thoughts! It's a bit late here so I'm not operating on full power, so point two about the lights going out in the building seems kind of odd, can't phrase what I want to say properaly so I might re-iterate it at a later time...when I wake up!

Such is life.

So is it safe to say that Sati is a guardian or symbol of hope for everything in the Matrix? If she can create a sunrise then her power must be great no matter how subtle. That would indeed imply she is some sort of 'christ' figure.

Second Theory.
Sati represents light, good, purity.
Smith represents dark, evil,...non-purity?

Smith assimilating Sati shows evils victory over good. But then good comes back and wins the day (symbolicly, Sati doesn't get all Kung Fu like!)
The last thing we see in the movie is a large ball of light (sunrise/set?) created by Sati, to show that good has triumphed over evil.

just wanted to point out - it is darker at the beginning of that scene than it is when Sati points to the Sun, so I think it is most definitely rising.

plus, the dawn is a much better symbol for the end of a movie where some main character has just died than a sunset, which would be thoroughly depressing!

No i definately think it a dawn seeing as how dawn represents a beginning or a new life. Since the next matrix was just created a sunrise would only be fitting to symbolise for the end of the movie that the end was not an ending, but a beginning to everything all over again.

And as for Sati's HaloI'm just full of coincidence today. I just noticed that for the first time out of all the times Ive watched it about 5 minutes before happening upon the topic named Sati's Halo. But yes I agree it has signifigance, it was intentionally put there

And when the train leaves Mobil Ave with Rama-Kandra, Kamala & Sati, there is a moment, in which Sati is mirrored in the glass of the train, through which can be seen Neo -> she looks like his ghost, or aura, or guardian angel ...

Similar effect happens when Neo is freed from Mobil Ave and travels in car -> he is mirrored in the car-window, through which the streets of matrix can be seen -> Neo looks like a ghost in the matrix, like he is not really there (and Link cannot see his code at the same time)

Could it have anything to do with the Oracle also being white?
There is a theory that the Oracle is training Sati to be the next Oracle.

I think thats a good theory. but if the war is over, than there is no need for an oracle. think about that one.

What you mean Akshat by Oracle being white? I don't get that

I also think Sati is the succesor of the Oracle - Sati have probably better potential to understand human nature that the current Oracle has (bacause she was created out of love) and Oracle tought her her experience ...

Even if war is over ... human nature is unpredictable and would certainly cause another problems in the future. People and AIs are evolving all the time ... and even hardly established system for living is just catching up ...

Also the Matrix is stable by balancing and unbalancing by the Architect and the Oracle respectively. So there has to be some sort of Oracle in the future.

Sorry, I should been mroe specific.

Some people have been debating about the color of the code of the Oracle. It can be seen in the scene where Smith is taking over her. For a brief moment before Smith takes over her, you see her in pure white. So does that relate to the whitish image of Sati's halo?

Im not sure, i think that satis halo represents the fact that she is pure, clean. Angels are depicticted with halos and angels are pure. Maybe that helps. if someone didnt allready say that?

So, the Oracle's code is white, not golden like Seraphs? I guess Sati has also this kind of dense code, which I am interpreting like she is actually an AI, unlike the most of other programmes in matrix.

I trust this will be sutible. Sati's halo is there beacuse NEO IS HILLUCINATING. how about that....no im just kidding. i really think sati is a machine and then uploads herself into the the matrix. they key to this whole puzzle is this family....but its so confusing. MUST LEARN MORE.

Thanks for support Akshat Thumbup

That's a pity they didn't shown anyone from this family in the code ... maybe it was cut out of the movie ... maybe is was intentional - not to say too much, because it could close another ways of interpretation or whatever ...

It would be interesting to see the parts there were cut out of the final version (and knowing WHY).
