Neo Final words

Yo dudes,

me and m8s were watchin revs and my m8 (ali) noticed that after the smith & neo super brawl (when neo had all that energy surged through him)

If you turn your TV up really loud, you can distinctly hear Neo's voice speak the words "it's over". He is clearly "dead" when this is said.

Is this a clue to what happens to Neo

Write your thoughts, could be nothing but whatever....

I'll have to double check to see if I can hear it. What surge of energy?

If we go along with the Christian analogies in the Matrix and if we view Neo as the Christ figure...Christs last words on the corss were "it is finished" and then he "gave up the ghost"...Neo's "it's over" could be a parallel to this...maybe...who knows...

Interesting though, I wonder if there's any other "hidden" audio...

very strange indeed

Guys, I think you might not understand what I mean, the Deus Ex Mahcina does say "It is done" but about 2 seconds BEFORE that (you need to turn up the volume quite loud to hear it) you can hear Neo's voice say "it's over".

I'm not sure what it means but it is said when neo is being layed down and all the pugs in his body (holding him up) are removed.

Dunno what it means I found it interesting tho

ITEM #1:

Machine God: "It is done"

Hmm... don't mean to simplify an already simplified third plot but what if it just means that? "It is done."

Neo goes in to defeat Smith (which is why the Machine God allowed him to go in)

Machine God: "What if you fail?"
Neo: "I won't"

Machine God: "It is done"

ITEM #2:

Neo: "it's over"

Hmmm.... let's really think hard about this one...

Neo goes in to fight and defeat Smith as he said he would.

When finished, he says, "It's over"

Can't confuse this surely. The battle is over, the war against Smith is over, Neo's task that he went in to do is over. No great mystery there.

~

Even if we turn it aroung to a question:

Machine God: "It is done?"
Neo: "It's over."

It still works. Simple isn't it?

Half the stuff you just quoted isn't said in the movie so I'm not sure what you mean, and as for turning it around as a question, Neo says "it's done" BEFORE the god says "it is finished" so how can it be a question

Hi Matt.

Ok to the last one about a question is out then. Need to watch Rev again.

As for Neo: "It's done"

Same principle which you avoided is applied. Re-read m post.

As for the Machine God:
"it is finished"
"It is done"

Finsished done complete over.

Will watch again but even if your claim is correct, the same deal again avoided is answered in my post.

In regards to:
Machine God: "What if you fail?"
Neo: "I won't"

I'm sure this is stated, perhaps I didn't use a comma? I will check the movie again as I own it now. If it's not exactly word for word the meaning is the same and in my avoided post prior to yours.

Now as for your claim: "Half the stuff you just quoted isn't said in the movies so I'm not sure what you mean"

Really? I will double check that, I'm sure I'm right on this. And if I am right but the gramma is off or one word has been subtituded for another as I don't have a photographic memory, then I am unsure as to how you can be not sure of what I mean.

In any event Matt, I got the movie here, I'll play it now and get back to you. Smile

Below is what happens and is said in accordance to the Matrix Revolutions DVD I own. Does your version differ?

Neo: I only have come to say what I want to say. After that you can do what you want, no one will try to stop you.

Deus Ex Machina: Speak.

Neo: The program Smith has grown beyond your control. Soon he will spread through this city, as he spread through the matrix. You cannot stop him. But I can.

Deus Ex Machina: We don't need you! We can stop him!

Neo: If that's true, then I've made a mistake, and you should kill me now.

Deus Ex Machina: What do you want?

Neo: Peace.

...

Deus Ex Machina: And if you fail?

Neo: I won't.

...

Neo: It's over.

Deus Ex Machina: It is done.

~~~~~~~~
As for "how can it be a question?"
Well let's reverse it: What if Neo asks: It's over? and the Machine God replies: It is done.
?
Still plausible.
Please don't tell me that I am wrong merely on grammer, a missing word, etc. The message in my original post was quite clear and is backed up by this one. Please re-watch it if you doubt me.
[EDIT]
#1 Speech I quoted from Memory in the Original Post:
Machine God: "It is done"
Machine God: "What if you fail?"
Neo: "I won't"
Neo: "it's over"
#2 Speech I quoted verbatim from the Movie in This Post:
Deus Ex Machina: And if you fail?
Neo: I won't.
Neo: It's over.
Deus Ex Machina: It is done.
Now let us analyse this:
#1 Machine God: "It is done"
#2 Deus Ex Machina: It is done.
Outcome: Looks the same to me.
#1 Machine God: "What if you fail?"
#2 Deus Ex Machina: And if you fail?
Outcome: Hmm... so I substituded the word "What" for the word "And" What an error. The context of the question was totally lost with that substitution wasn't it? Not bad for memory.
#1 Neo: "I won't"
#2 Neo: I won't.
Outcome: Looks the same to me.
#1 Neo: "it's over"
#2 Neo: It's over.
Outcome: Oh my god will you look at that. It's the same. Perhaps the small cap 'i' confused you?
Question: Why am I bothering to do this EDIT to my post?
Answer: Because you said to me in your post "Half the stuff you just quoted isn't said in the movie so I'm not sure what you mean"
Now, in your opinion, 50% the stuff I quoted isn't said in the movie. I beg to differ. I'd say 99% of the words are used in the same sentence structure besides a small cap 'i' and the word 'What' wasn't used, instead, the word 'And' was. The sentence meaning was the same.
So this leads me to two possible conclusions:
1. You have a different version of the Matrix Revelations than I do, which I find hard to believe.
2. You are not sure of what I mean because you weren't paying attention and need to re-watch the matrix.
In both cases, I come to the conclusion that I am in fact not wrong.
So I will again ask since my post seemed to be overlooked:
ITEM #1:
Deus Ex Machina: It is done.
Please note, this information is ME talking and not quoted from the movie: Hmm... don't mean to simplify an already simplified third plot but what if it just means that? "It is done."
Neo goes in to defeat Smith (which is why the Machine God allowed him to go in)
Flashback info: This information is used to flash back to what was previously said.
Deus Ex Machina: And if you fail?
Neo: I won't.
Flashforward info: Remembering the information from the flashback and after Smith is defeated, the Machine God says the text below which is what I was talking about within the ITEM #1 section of my post.
#2 Deus Ex Machina: It is done.
ITEM #2:
Neo: It's over.
Please note, I am again talking and not quoting from the movie: Hmmm.... let's really think hard about this one...
Neo goes in to fight and defeat Smith as he said he would.
When finished, he says, "It's over"
Can't confuse this surely. The battle is over, the war against Smith is over, Neo's task that he went in to do is over. No great mystery there.
Hopefully the above has shed some light on the context of my post and makes it easier to understand.
Let's continue with the final part of my original post:
(Please note, I have corrected my spelling of the word 'around' in this version)
Even if we turn it around to a question:
Machine God: "It is done?"
Neo: "It's over."
It still works. Simple isn't it?
READ THIS BEFORE YOU QUOTE THE ABOVE READ BELOW:
The above I apologise for, the quotes were around the wrong way. My bad, must have been really confusing.
Allow me to reiterate my question again:
What if Neo was asking a question?
Neo: "It's over?"
Machine God: "It is done."
The Machine God could have answered. It still seems plausible to me and works.
Now in case we've forgotten:
"Half the stuff you just quoted isn't said in the movie so I'm not sure what you mean"
Matt, seeing as 99% of the stuff I quoted is accurate and 100% of the content is accurate, are you sure of what I mean yet?
And let's not forget:
"and as for turning it around as a question, Neo says "it's done" BEFORE the god says "it is finished" so how can it be a question"
Now that the reverse has been asked (Please see above if you missed it), do you see yet how it could be a question?
I am truly astonished as to how something so simple can be so complicated by some people
ON A SERIOUS NOTE:
Matt, I am not usually this sarcastic, but please don't make me go through all this work unless you know for sure that I am 100% wrong. Then that is a different story.
PEACE Smile
PS: Still want my questions answered. LMAO Smile
sorry dude, didnt know you were so hellbent on being right all the time.
and as for my original post, i just heard something and thought i would say it, (which i thought was what this forum was for) instead of getting so stressed over a misunderstanding
you've clearly been thinking about this more than I have.
why you needed to write such a deathly long winded explanation, i aint sure but perhaps you enjoy that kind of thing?
G'day Matt, it's cool. I am not always right, but I was fair positive on this point which you throw away without even addressing my questions.
As for the the initial thought, yes that's great! But my initial post was only a thought too and you blew it off and told me it wasn't said.
Anyways, glad to meet ya, what are you thoughts on the 'question' thought (Last part of my message). Smile
yeh soz dude, i re-read your post and I can see where you are coming from.
I reckon your thoughts about it being a question could be right, still it's weird that you can still hear Neo's voice after the huge battle and Smith is deleted.
anyways, do you think he is still alive after the battle, perhaps us hearing his voice after the battle could be a hint of what has happened?
Your thoughts plz,
Matt
I dunno Matt, I could be totally wrong. It's an interesting thought but doesn't change much though. Sad
Yeah it is weird but I don't know if he's dead either. Many belive he is, I don't. But then again, I really don't much care cause I didn't really like the third movie. LOL.
It could be a hint to him being alive too. Maybe the big bug dragged him away to rest for a while as it was a huge battle?
Yeh I reckon he would need a rest after that!
That huge golden glow coming off Neo at the end is the main reason I think he is still alive though.
He touched the source (stopping the Sentinels). Perhaps the source is healing him because he is connected to it now?
I thought Animatrix 2 was just a rumour and a dream?
Is there anything official about it?
Presuming it gets made, I don't know. It may be a prequel story to the Matrix online game like Flight of the Osiris was to Reloaded with a few other short animated stories.
But anything is possible I suppose.
To be honest I aint sure if there is going to be an animatrix 2 but I do remember hearing several rumours about it.
There is definatly gonna be a new videogame though, which is supposed to give you more info on some characters that weren't explained very well in the 3rd movie (serpah, merovingian etc)
Neo does NOT say "it's over". The music in the background seems to have lyrics which sound vaguely like "it is over" but Neo doesn't say anything.
I have now nearly deafened myself because every time it gets past the bit where Neo is meant to speak a deep voice saying "IT IS DONE!" blares into my ears....! Whatnow
Good point, could just be the lyrics to the background music. Good call. I know what that is like, I got deafened too
G'day gibo, how are you?
In regards to the Squiddy going through Neo. This was just what Neo saw, like the aura or spiritual essence so to speak. The Squiddy didn't physically go through Neo otherwise Trinity would have reacted in a much different way than she did. Yeah machines with auros and spiritual essences or halos whatever... I don't like it but it's what we've been fed so oh well. Smile
SHUT UP, JUST SHUT UP! If you are going to have a real debate don't look like fucking idiots. FATPIE42 concluded it easily, but you seem to just go on and on, dribbeling more shit from those intelligent claiming mouths of yours. If someone says you are wrong, you don't write a gigantic post when it can just be a small one, that is what we call idiocy. It's like saying rabbit one hundred times instead of just once. And, if you didn't even like Revolutions, why are you even debating over it? Why are you even watching it?
Well..... here I am.
If you don't like my posts, then don't read them. No one is holding a gun to your head.
You would probably like every one who doesn't like revolutions to disappear from the forum so you can live in your happy matrix forum world. Would be quite boring if everyone agreed though wouldn't it?
Also, if you're only going to reply with posts like you have just done, then don't expect any further replies from me (you may like that, good on you). However, if you are going to reply and show some respect and thought in your posts, then I will reply and show you the same level of respect.
And if I want to post a long winded reply, I will. As mentioned before, you don't have to read them.
Hungarian kid:
When you had my name in capital letters I thought you were shouting at me. I must admit that when people start waffling I get a bit annoyed, but being offensive doesn't solve anything. You must remember that gibo, who has just entered the conversation, does not speak English as his (her?) first language and is obviously having difficulty. As a result it is natural for the conversation to slow down a bit.
If you get frustrated by the convos then go away, make a cup of tea and come back. Being offensive is not going ro help Gibo get any better at writing in English. It just gets Marcdaniel pissed off and before you know it everybody is shouting and NOBODY is discussing the matrix anymore. I know that isn't what any of us wants, least of all you, hungarian kid.
