Ok, let me just tell Dee that I'm now starting my Matrix 4 story on NotePad and will be posted part-by-part.

Did any of u guys read a story on Matrix 4. I dont know who wrote it but I read in some other forum. Its called "Matrix Deliverance". Its cool man. What I like about that story is that it starts after the Matrix 3,i.e, its shows us that how the machines and humans work together now to get those people out of the matrix who feel that there is something wrong with the system. the Agents have hired a group of people, who work as a special task force whose job is to deliver these humans to the captains(Morpheus, Niobe, etc).
It doesnt say anything about neo or trinity(I mean whether neo lived or died or whether he is program). I think u shud read it Mobil_Ave_Neo, coz it wud be a "refresher" for u. And u might start to have a set of mind to continue with ur story.

I am impressed with the in depth ideas within your story.

I actually have a Story typed in Microsoft word right now which is 592 pages long. It is set after the Last movie. There is no Neo in this one. In this it focuses more on side characters such as Morpheus, Niobe, Ghost and others.

Everyone who has looked it over thinks it is amazing. Should I start a thread and post it?

Yeah 592, and that isn't including the other 129 pages of character reference for scenes.

That basically is the mood and the setting of each scene. The surroundings detailed down to the last piece of dirt. The way the characters behave and move and a much more detailed and smooth approach on the fight scene's.

I beefed it up a lot more to make it even more action-packed than all three put together, yet keep the same theme of romanticism.

It starts off with a foreshadowing, much like Neo's dream of Trinity in Matrix: Reloaded.

We see Sati walk into the kitchen of the Oracle's apartment.

She opens the door of one of the kitchen cabinets, where she retrieves a cookie-bin. She then opens the cookie-bin and puts her hand between the pile of cookies that is inside of the bin.

When her hand comes out of the bin, she holds a key.

She then walks out of the apartment, takes the stairs and walks two stories up, where she then enters an abandoned apartment.

In this apartment there seems to be an old locked cabinet. Sati uses the key on it and when she opens the door she walks straight into a comfortable large room where alot of keys hang around the place and where certain machines are spread around the room.

A person's head is appearing from behind one of the machinery; we immediately recognize the Keymaker from M2.

Keymaker:

"Who are you?"

Sati:

"I am Sati...steph-daughter of the Oracle.", a funny smile follows her words.

Keymaker:

"Well, you sure must be special if you have gained the key to this place! I am pleased to meet you miss!", a kind smile follows.

Sati:

"The Oracle told me about you. You died a heroic death while trying to help Neo didn't you?"

Keymaker:

"It seems I did yes. But that was not heroic, that was my purpose."

Sati:

"How did you came back from being dead?"

Keymaker:

"I got recompiled younglady."

Sati:

"Does that happen to every program?"

Keymaker:

"Only to programs that still have a purpose or are not outdated yet."

Sati:

"That is so unfair! After hard work you just get deleted, where is the love in that?"

Keymaker:

"Well, it is how it is. In our common purpose to serve our creators, we must not waste any resources. It is simply inefficient."

Sati:

"Resources? Don't we have enough resources to let us all enjoy life?"

Keymaker:

"I cannot answer that question my dear."

Sati:

"But the Architect could?"

a painfull silence follows...

Keymaker:

"One does not ask questions to one's creator."

Sati, being a bit angry:

"Well, fuck that. He didn't create me, so I can ask his pants off now can I?"

Keymaker:

"You cannot, even if you may...you can never contact him, he only contacts you and only when it is highly needed."

Sati:

"Did you ever had contact with him?"

Keymaker:

"No I never did."

Sati:

"So how do you know about him?"

Keymaker:

"I just do. He is in the core of my essence. He created me and it is my function to gladly and efficiently serve him."

Sati:

"Hmm wait, you say you serve him?"

Keymaker:

"Essentially I do. I have my function in keeping the Matrix efficiently online. I provide a secure access to every facet of the Matrix to various programmers."

Sati:

"Programmers? Metacortex?"

Keymaker:

"Hahaha yes. I am listed as a parttime employee there. They know me as the genetor", a proud smile follows....

"The rest of the time I spend here, making and redesigning keys."

Sati, after thinking for a while:

"Heey wait a minute...Wasn't Smith serving the Architect too?"

Keymaker, looking abit suprised after this question:

"Yes..."

Sati:

"So if you were both serving the creator, then why did he shoot you?"

Keymaker:

"I really don't know, only the creator knows such things."

Sati:

"Not the Oracle?"

Keymaker:

"She knows yes. But she won't answer. You know her, she only guides you in understanding your own choices."

Sati:

"Yeah, she sure can do that! If I only I knew where she is now!"

Keymaker:

"Well wherever she is, she is alive!"

Sati:

"Really? Can you feel it too? I just somehow feel that she is still alive."

Keymaker:

"I don't feel it, I just know."

Sati:

"How? Tell me?"

Keymaker:

"I am sorry I cannot. It is part of my purpose to have alot of knowledge, but is not part of my purpose to share all of this knowledge. I am sorry younglady", a bit of a sad face follows.

Sati:

"I can respect that sir, the Oracle told me that you are an honourable man. But maybe you can answer this question...I witnessed that Seraph was taken to the Source. How did you return to the Source when you died?"

Keymaker:

"When you die in the Matrix, the code pattern follows the rules of the simulation. Your shell breaks down in pieces, just like a human corpse would do"...

"When the pieces have broken down to their core, then the Sourcecode is exposed. These pieces of Sourcecode then try do join eachother in order to form the original Sourcecode pattern of the program. As soon as all the pieces of Sourcecode are joined together, the program gets recompiled within the codestream of the Matrix. And then... The program is supposed to return to the Source, just like Seraph did."

Sati:

"So you have to ultimate choice to return or not?"

Keymaker:

"Yes you do, but most programs will comply. It is the sanest choice to make."...

"This also explains the phenonoma that some people experience in the Matrix. The pieces of Sourcecode that try to join together can appear as small balls of bright white light; these are the so called orbs that people notice on certain photographs."

Sati:

"The Oracle told me how Neo had crushed Smith so that he was splattered in pieces. Was he recompiled just like you were?"

Keymaker:

"Yes I think he was. Only the process of the pieces of Sourcecode joining together probably took longer, because the pieces were spread all the way through the Matrix."

Sati:

"Do you have a key for me to reach the Architect?"

Keymaker:

"No younglady, as I told you, you can never reach him unless he wants you to."

Sati, with a determinded strong voice:

"Then how can I make him wanting to reach me?"

Keymaker:

"I don't know younglady. My only guess is if you do something that is completely out of his control. But even then, he mostly sends his agents."

Sati with a determined loud voice:

"I don't give a damn. I will and I shall speak to him!"

....voice turning softer...

"Thank you sir for your information...I bid you farewell", Sati bows...

The Keymaker bows too...

"The honour was all mine younglady"

Sati leaves the large room, using the same key with which she came in.

Ok, I have on question. It's about the Sourcecode joining together after their shell has degrated. If this happened to Smith, then wouldn't work with Neo? So his original shell was changed by Smith which would me that Neo's original shell/body would return? Please explain if I'm not getting that right.

In my view Neo has returned to the Source at the end of M3.

I know that we see that his (and Smith's) RSI is scattered in pieces but that doesn't have to matter. Neo/Smith's core Source code (the white light) stays with the Source and so their essence leaves the Matrix.

Source code and a compiled program are two different things. They can exist separate from each other. When a program has been compiled from sourcecode, then the sourcecode is still there too.

To implement this into the story of the Matrix requires a bit of smuggling and imagination.

The reason why the Keymaker and Smith slowly decompose back to Sourcecode and then get recompiled within the Matrix stream is because they are integral parts of the Matrix system and they must be allowed to return to the Source.

Only when a program really has contact with the Source it can genuinly leave the Matrix system. So in a philosophical way this gives the programs genuine choice too. And this is also in conjunction with the spirtual phenonamon of restless spirits. Some spirits refuse to return to the Light (Source) and keep haunting the earthplane (exiles haunting the Matrix).

The Merovigian, who was killed by Seraph in my story, will not get recompiled. The Merovigian is not an integral part of the currently running Matrix system, so he will never get recompiled by the Matrix code stream. But this will become clear later in the story.

m_a_neo your story's great. i've read a couple of the stories out there and yours, so far, is the best and most believable. i found it a while ago when the thread was at about 4 pages. and after that it took me a while to find it again... and BOOM 11 pages. i was stoked! keep it coming and i look forward to the conclusion.

btw (this could potentially be a stupid question); were/are you into the matrix online? from your story, it seems like a given. but i've notice that other stories where the author is not - seem to be lame.
