It is the spanish version. And many people have written on imdb.com that they liked the spanish version better. But Vanilla Sky was very cool.

I didnt like vanilla sky when i saw it. but the spanish version is much better. i guess i just dont like tom cruize. I dont remember the details, but they are the same film, and scenes are practically identical.

I think the reason why I liked this movie so much was that I was not prepared for an extraordinary ending.

I guess Revolutions is bound to disappoint me regarding plot-twists.

The spanish version was WAY better than Vanilla Sky!

The stupid American director is thinking oh let's add loads of references to Bob Dylan albums and Monet paintings and put in digital cameras and add pointless lines like "When you sleep with someone your body makes a commitment even if you don't. Dammit I swallowed your cum." and "we'll meet in another life where we are both cats".

The original Spanish movie was very clever and minimalistic with its dialogue. When you watch it a second time you can see that there is not a false line in it. Open Your Eyes is a philosophical masterpiece just like the original Matrix movie was.

Vanilla Sky is very similar to a PKD novel (written in 50s or 60s).

Abre los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) is the original, and was remade several years later as "Vanilla Sky"

PKD = Philip K Dick

Also, the PKD novel they're talking about is "Ubik".

Oooooh I tried reading that one. I hope I don't sound like a philistine but I didn't get very far into it before it started boring me. I hope that isn't Dick at his best.... :s

I didn't give the name of the book because it's somewhat of a spoiler.

In what way is Ubik a spoiler? Does it mean something outside the context of the book? I know the book is about people with mental/telekinetic powers....

Yep, maybe even the terms like "Oracle" or "Architect" don't apply to you anymore.

You are herby given the title...."Sati Wachowski"

I should make a Searchengines-Explained.com site to describe how to do it.

This month (01.Nov-15.Nov): 1'192'074 pageviews. Holy Moly.

A good solution would be an implemented DVD Web browser for those without a computer, and include this site on the triple matrix movie DVD pack. They should include the forum too. With hotlinks to the best and most important posts.

Maybe you'll get a cut of the profit? Wink

Well, what would I be without the matrix?
What would I be without this forum?

Nothing, I tell you. I am a bot created to extract and post random matrix relevant information, and reply to posts in this forum including phrases from this information.

i saw it

it is a litle bit different from the matrix, but basicly it is about somebody who is prisoner of his dream created by a machine....

its more psychological

there have been a remake of it with tom cruise (same story but with an happy end)

another interesting movie is "forever"
