Smith/Bane does cut a third line in his hand making some kind of H-figure, maybe in the Caduceus hovercraft; before the killing of that ships crew(?) It can be seen in ETM.

I clocked the time in the film: from the time when the Keymaker opens the door into the corridor, to when he opens the end door at the end of the corridor: I got exactly 3 minutes 14 seconds. But mind you, this is not the same as 314 seconds, which is a bit more than 5 minutes.

In any case, it's apparent that the 3 minutes 14 seconds is pointing to the 314 seconds.

Splinterinyourmind: About Trinity not having red hair: How about someone else having a red dress in the Matrix? (...besides Mouse's creation) The red clothing (some times the clothing under the regular dress) is also a "secret way" of identifying Mary Magdalene in medivial paintings and so forth.
