Morpheus: This is the construct. It's our loading program. We can load anything from clothing, to equipment, weapons, training simulations, anything we need.

The construct is used as a changing room among other things, but nothing is mentioned of changing one’s actual human/physical looking RSI.

Dear God this is confusing. I think that residual self image does come from the Matrix, cause all other memory's do too. When you're unplugged, you don't lose the memories of you're life, you just know they were fake. Why would our faces be any different?
