yeah...cube was a great cult budget movie

i love the bit at the start when the guy gets diced by the fence

the black guy was cool when he went totally crazy near the end

the best bit was when they were about to go through the slot in the floor to the room with all the spikes and the big dumb(for want of a less offensive word)guy gives out his regular "uugghh" and all the spikes get activated and then the black guy says instantanously...."he is NOT coming with us"

funny as hell...

cube 2:hypercube was apparently shit though...i havent seen yet

A MAJOR,FULL ON BRONSON

I haven't seen cube 2 either. I won't make any effort to see it as I read somewhere exactly what you said about it... it's crap.

I'd love to find Cube for sale somewhere cheap just to have around. It would be fun to watch from time to time.

A month or two later...i finally discovered the film "cube" at a reasonable price in the local HMV store and picked it up (in DVD format). Watched it today and was not dissappointed. A clever iidea for a film and well worth watching. Thankyou for pointing me in its direction. Are there any other rare films that are worth watching that anyone else would care to recommend?

Equilibrium wasn't too bad. Kind of a Matrix rip-off, but still some cool gun-fu.

How would YOU be able to tell the difference between the dream world...and the real world?

Plenty, it depends what you're looking for.

You could go back a while and check out "Head" a movie that challenges our understanding of reality. Some people are put off by the fact it stars the Monkees, others watch it expecting some madcap music related antics. The majority just plain don't get it.

Love it or hate it, it's worth a look if only for the fabulous "the porpoise song". Further details imdb.com...

Other films that wander off at a strange tangent include...

imdb.com...
imdb.com...
imdb.com...

or if you'd prefer to stay closer to a "matrix" feel;

imdb.com...
imdb.com...

and of course you can't forget

imdb.com...
Cool

Eraserhead, that rings bells, i`ll keep an eye out for that one. Equilibrium i liked and Brazil was good too.

i watched "21 grams" on sunday...if you want a film that shows the pinnacle of acting ability then this is the one

a very difficult film to follow as it is not cut in chronological order...much like "memento" only superior

sean penn, benicio del torro and naomi watts star

about these three people and how a car accident links them all

very challenging but once all the scenes are in place in yout mind then it is a superbly satisfying payoff

Enjoyed Equilibrium, really a good film. The fighting with guns - excellent! Thumbup

just watched a superb movie

dog soldiers

set in the scottish highlands and is about a group of 6 army grunts stuck in the middle of nowhere in a farm house after an encounter with werewolves

turns out the family that owns the house ARE the werewolves and they start killing off the soldiers inside

the funniest bit is the matrix reference where one of the soldiers is called spoon and he gets seperated from the other 2 remaining guys

spoon is fighting off a werewolf with everything that comes to hand in the kitchen but is eventually after kicking one of there asses get caught from behind by another

when the other 2 get back into the kitchen(by blowing a hole through the floor of the room above they find a big pile of mush with a watch that one of them had given spoon earlier

one asks "where the hell is spoon"

to which the other replies "there is no spoon"

hahaha...cracked me up

classic funny horror and highly recommended
