I just saw the Golden Globes (American movie awards) and there was no mention of Matrix 2 or 3 whatsoever.

What gives?

I meant Reloaded and Revolutions. All the films were there. Lord of the Rings was there. In fact, it won Best Director and Best Motion Picture. But no Matrix nominations or even mentions.

I had no doubt that neither M1 or M2 wouldn't appear.

Its the same old story. Both sequels were too 'complicated' and 'convoluted' because those who weren't devoted to appreciating them to their full degree dismissed them as flawed.

LOTR is easy to understand. Its for the masses. Make no mistake, I love LOTR, but the Matrix Trilogy is for the thinkers.

Lord of the Rings is easy to understand because it's well-written.

the Matrix trilogy is more misunderstood because, while it was written for the "thinkers," it also seems that the Wachowski brothers are on their high horse in their refusal to talk about it and share their thoughts.

Tolkein had pretty fair correspondance with his fans, was very open to communication. maybe that's why fifty years after the books were written, people still give a shit.

i wonder where The Matrix will be in fifty years? Whatnow

I made the mistake of watching the Golden Globes. But you learn over the years that the movies that win usually suck, thus the LOTR winning a lot. They always pick the worst movies and I can't figure it out. The Matrix Revolutions soundtrack wasn't even nominated.

The Matrix has you...

Ya, I was quite confused. I guess thats right. These gay fags think that Matrix wasn't written well cause they couldn't understand it on the first viewing. They'd like to think that it didn't even occur. Oh well....people like that piss me off.

Where will the Matrix be in 50 years? I wish really badly that people will gain a better understanding of it. However, if the younger generation is as `smart' 50 years from now as they are now, we have no hope.

I can understand if people say that the execution of the movie concepts could have been better. But it deserves something in the script writing. It was brilliant writing. And special effects, of course.

I think the execution of concepts was expertly done. The Wachowski's chose to direct the plot in this way and Im grateful for the way they sculpted it. It requires alot of exposition, but so be it.

I was half sarcastic. I can't even say that seriously because I only saw the first LOTR, and I hated it. But I heard 2 and 3 were good so I'll see them. I am just pissed because the Matrix trilogy gets absolutely no credit.
And I'm not going to argue about the thing in Reloaded. I think it is a woman, but I just saw a picture where it looks mannish. So I don't really know or care. Not an important part of the movie...

as tempting as it is to get their answers, i love not knowing...it makes people love the movie so much more and if they came out and gave us all the answers i personally think it would suck in a lot of ways..plus so many things are open to personal interpretation

i actually feel bad when people don't give this movie a chance because it's just too confusing..the excuse is always that it's "stupid"...people are missing out..i'm not saying everyone should love this movie, but a lot more people would if they gave it a chance...and the golden globes are all about ass kissing to get the nomination..i honestly don't even want to know how many dinners the lord of the rings people took the foreign press association too...they also probably gave them 50 million gifts...thats how you win a golden globe, theres no other way.

dodge this...
