i have few posts and i've already progressed in rank? this is lame. i have over 17000 posts on another message board, and if i posted here at the rate i posted there i would be no.1 poster in a month.

17,000 posts... wow, you had alot of time on your hand. Were you unemployed or dropped out of shool during this period when you made 17,000 posts?

no, i actually post from my full-time job mostly. it's a pretty decent deal if you asked me.

Perhaps you advance in rank quickly at the moment, but after a while it takes you longer and longer to change rank.

Some boards (not just Matrix-related boards) have ranks set at equal intervals (more or less). Other boards are stratified (rank changes every 100 messages until 1000 posts are made, then every 500 messages until 300 posts are reached, etc.). Yet others have the rank change at an exponential rate (10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, etc.).

I may have a low rank here, but that's because I don't visit this board too often. When it comes to the theories and explanations about all kinds of things, I'm tapped out. I still can't believe people subscribe to MWAM theories even after seeing The Matrix Revolutions people can believe what they wish, but the evidence proves otherwise. Even if no one believes in MWAM anymore, the latest raging debate concerns whether either Seraph or The Merovingian or both are former Ones. This one, though, is easier to prove one way or the other.

But I digress. Different boards have different ranking schemes, and after a while (say, 300 posts) it will take longer for ranks to change even if you post 100 messages daily.
