Just out of interest, what book are you reading at the moment?

I'm reading 'The Stargate Conspiracy' by Lynn Picknett & Clive Prince. Thumbup

Then I'm tackling 'Foucault's Pendulum' by Umberto Eco (again!) Thumbup

Good Stuff... Cool

I'm reading Brocas Brain by Carl Sagan. It's very interesting book that explores the future of intelligent robots, aliens and other aspects of the future that we would want to see today. Cool

i just picked up a copy of 'How To Toss Your Cookies' by Former Agent Smith

it's a guide to well, tossing cookies. not how to bake them or anything, just how to toss them.

it was right next to 'When to Bake Cookies, and Where to Set Them' by The Oracle

yesterday i finished 'Whoa! A Guide to Becoming The One, Part 1: So You Wanna Free Your Mind?' by the One formerly known as Thomas Anderson aka Neo

then i'm gonna read 'Whoa! A Guide to Becoming The One, Part 0: So You're in Love, Now What? by the One formerly known as Thomas Anderson aka Neo

and then i'll read 'Whoa! A Guide to Becoming The One, Part 1: So You're Here to Save the World? by the One formerly known as Thomas Anderson aka Neo

another book i'm ordering is called 'How to Meet People, and Make Them Like You' by Former Agent Smith

Steven King is the worst famous writer to plague Earth. His books aren't remotely scary, and once when I was watching an interview with him he stated " I set this part of the book in the bathroom because I believe the bathroom can be one of the scariest rooms in the world, like thats where people find cancers or growths" WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? Its not like your gonna be scared everytime you go into the bathroom because you might find a cancer, thats a rare circumstance, your most probably gonna be disgusted if the last person had diarheea but forgot to flush. STUPID STEVEN KING!

Im reading "A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." Quite a witty book.

Well..... here I am.

the problem with stephen king is not that his novels arent scary(sure, they arent scary) but that they're stupid/dumb. they're fine for youngsters, but i cant understand how adults can read them and not fall into a coma. they're even more boring than tolkien's poetic interludes. maybe i should substitute 'it' for 'they' since i've read only one of his pathetic works, 'tommyknockers'. its a miracle that i'm not comatose.

now douglas adams - he is BRILLIANT! how can he think of so many amazingly ridiculous ideas? you should read the rest of the (four-part! or was it five?) trilogy. and also starship titanic and some book about zaphod.
and definitely the dirk gently novels! his book about environmentalism and tourism, last chance to see, is the best i've read on the topic. its as amusing as his novels. any other sci fi fans here?
