Plot for a 4th Matrix here...

While I don't really support a Matrix in a Matrix, here is a possible plot for a 4th Matrix.

Prelude:
The human race facing extintion built a self sustaining complex with a fully automated virtual world. After destroying most of life on earth humans were forced to retreat to this virtual world.

Established in the Matrix's:
First they built the "Perfect World" matrix. Of course humans rejected it. The humans wanted to suffer (probably from guilt of destroying the world). Then the Matrix as we know it now was created.

This Matrix was designed with the humans guilt in mind. They created the machines as enemies, enslaving the humans. This would essentually cause virtual never ending war. The programs were created to keep the Matrix running and allow an ongoing world where humans could live. Of course there are those that reject it. This is where the Zion and the One programs come in. Both being programs to help sustain the virtual world. Knowing that the humans could never leave as the world is dead.

Now, as we know Neo made a choice never before made, he chose a different door. The door that lead back to the Matrix. As he went back to the "real world" he gained new powers and abilities. He even started to see the world in a different way.

Intro:

Neo awakens inside the Matrix. Disoriented, alone and unaware of his surrondings. (Much like the Train Station)
He tries to fly to the Oracle.
Falling flat on his face, realizing the Matrix has changed.

This creates some filler stuff of Neo trying to relearn his abilities and manipulate the new Matrix. Also trying to contact those in Zion.

Climax: Neo contacts Morpheus and those in Zion, they must retrieve his human body as his mind is trapped in the Matrix.
Twist: Zion people going to the Machine City to take his body could be considered a hostile threat to the machines and threaten a war all over again.

After some crafty manuevers they recover Neo's body and he unjacks from the Matrix.

Now he see's the world in the gold code, and has his old abilities, "he can sense and feel the machines". He retreats to his quarters once again, to think.

Now come some filler discussion between crew members. A good Morpheus argument.

Neo comes out, tells them what has happened and what is happining. Realizing that this is yet another Matrix and he must self eject.

Ending:

Neo self ejects.
He awakens in a large complex, as far as the eye can see. He get's out of his pod and wanders around. Find a very dusty computer terminal, he activates an automated message. The message tells the past events. Explains that the world is dead and humans must live inside the Matrix.

He then wanders down a large corridor that leads to the exit of the complex.
He wipes off the dust covered window to see lush green land and blue skys. Then realizing that they have been in the Matrix so long that the world has repaired itself and they can truely be freed.

He runs back to the computer to free the one mind that comes to mind, Morpheus.

i like the idea, maybe because it's actually optimistic. A blue sky is something that's never seen in any of the movies. Once humanity was released wouldn't they just destroy it again. Or would they have learned their lesson?

First of all its really stupid. Theres no point to the past 3 films with such a plot. Entire cop-out.

Second of all, havent you seen Revolutions? They showed the blue sky. And the REAL sun.

I don't mind this plot but I completely stopped believing in the Matrix in Matrix Theory after seeing Reloaded. If you read a few of the comics, you see the world has changed quite a bit. Its attack by Bio-Organisms, wheat grows in swamps etc. Parts of the world are easily livable, the Machines just stopped the humans from living on the surface.

Well..... here I am.

Noneareleft, I like it. Kudos.

"Its attack by Bio-Organisms, wheat grows in swamps etc. Parts of the world are easily livable, the Machines just stopped the humans from living on the surface." <-- This could all still be simulated events to make Zion feel more real.
