How strong is the Virus Smith in the real world?

Did you notice that with the new trailers (taken offline now) Neo sees Bane thru some kind of Matrix code. Although it's red/orange and not green?

Yeah, but they morph the image into Smith, so everone gets it. I guess the red code is the way Neo sees the real world after he is blinded.

It is my suspicion that Neo sees this Red Code when he realizes that the "real world" is a MiM, much like he saw the code at the end of the first Matrix. You can also see this red code in two other places. In the ~100MB trailer circulating around the web, NEO is walking in a corridor wrapped in flames (which I think may be the path leading to the super spiky machine with the deep voice) you also see a machine laced with red flame enter NEO's body, perhaps empoweringly writing it's code onto NEO, the same way NEO wrote himself onto SMITH. As for the reason NEO is blinded, I don't know.
