neo was called thomas a anderson while he was plugged into the matrix

but what about the other characters...

i thought it would be fun to try to give the rest of them a suitable matrix name from before they were unplugged

so on you go guys...

for morpheus... Jessie Jackson.

In matrix one, we'll see that Cypher's was called "mr Reagan" (or something like it) by agent Smith.

For Mouse, it was Blake Rigsby, Pipsqueek for a nickname, lol.

its cool that cypher wanted to be an actor and his name was mr. reagen.

Smith recognises Morpheus and calls him by that name only when they first meet. Why should this be so? It seems to imply that they have never met and that Morpheus has no real name.

Interestingly, the Merovingian addresses him in a very similar way. Could this be a link to those theories that have Morpheus down as a program/part program/tool of the machines? Thoughts?

well if you read the comic "a millers tale" it shows morpheus as a small child, meaning he had to be freed whe he was very young. mabye this means that for more of his life than other peoples, he has been morpheus, instead of curtis jackson or whatever.
