At the end of Revolutions when Neo is fighting Smith, and Neo finally gets up and says,"It was innevitable," and Smith turns Neo into a Smith, do you think that Deus Ex Machina (the machine god) helped Neo win the battle by sending some sort of shock through Neo in order to eliminate the program Smith, and in turn, sacrificing Neo? If so, did Neo know that the machines would help him win, or was he really giving up?

when smith says to neo "everything that has a beginning has an end neo"

this is obviously the oralce talking through smith as smith never calls him neo

what is meant by this message from the oracle is that neo must end in order for smith to end...since they are opposites of an equation then only each other can be responsible for cancelling the other out...

the machines undoubtadly had a part in it...perhaps they kept neos anomaly code(the opposite of smiths) until the very end of the fight...by this stage neo was not using the anomaly code for his abilities but only his pure and undieing belief in himself as "the one"...

it is only when smith clones himself over neos shell do the machines then reinsert neos code to cancel out smiths code and so stablilising the matrix

they would then have the advantage of getting rid of the 2 biggest threats to the continuance of the matrix in one fell swoop

A MAJOR,FULL ON BRONSON

But the machines NEED the matrix to survive. Why would they want it to end for them?

The Oracle message is really cool, meaning that she knew that she needed to be cloned (and I didn't know why until now) in order to deliver her final message to Neo when he needed it most.

I hope the anomaly didn't say this, because I was too lazy to read everything... I honesstly think Neo knew he was going to die. There is much foreshadowing that leads me to believe this, but esp. when Trinity confirms before they leave for the machine city that Neo didn't think he was coming back (christain symbolism anyone?). That and the fact that when he was copied onto Smith, they balnced eachother out, equalling zero.

i didnt even say that the matrix would end...in fact i said the exact opposite

in order for the matrix to become stable...neo and smith had to cancel each other out...this was through neos choice(guided by the oracle)and in return for his actions in saving the matrix(and in turn the humans and machines from smith)all he asked in return from the nachines was peace between humans and machines

1) I didn't say you said anything. I said I hoped I wasn't repeating you because I was too lazy to read your entire post.

2)I never denied that.... I don't really know why you said that or what you're getting at, unless you're commenting on what someone else said.

Deus Ex Machina -
1)In Greek and Roman drama, a god lowered by stage machinery to resolve a plot or extricate the protagonist from a difficult situation.

2)An unexpected, artificial, or improbable character, device, or event introduced suddenly in a work of fiction or drama to resolve a situation or untangle a plot.

3)A person or event that provides a sudden and unexpected solution to a difficulty.
