I have 2 questions what is the name of the "machine core" that neo meets at the end of revolutions and why do the "doc bots" not the ones in the fetus fields but the ones around the matrix towers, the one that unplugged neo when he woke up from the matrix in the first film, why are those machines programmed to do that?, not only that but did that machine sence something from neo because it got close to him like it was going to do something but then it backs away an lets him go. Why didnt that machine just kill him then dump his body into the sewers or do those machines just rather assume humans will die drowning being that theyve never swam before in the real world.

Dunno about the name of the machine at the end of revolutions, I've heard some people call it the "Machine God." Dunno though. As for the other machines you were talking about, I think that you were headed the right direction in thinking that they just assume the newly awoken humans would drown, not only because they've never swam in the real world, but because their muscles would be suffering from atrophy, as they've never used them, and it would be impossible to swim. Somethin like that...yea...

I know it has a name, and it's French. I'll do my best to find it.

i think you are pushing it a bit if you see a sense of hesitation in an expressionless machine...but perhaps not...perhaps the machine was given orders from somewhere to leave neo...who knows.

Yea that makes sence I figured it was somewere along the lines of humans not being able to do much in the real world when awakened especially swim like when neo hit the water he had no idea what to do so he eventually began to sink, and especially because of his muscles. I could of swore that core machine in the ending had a name I remember somewere on the net I found a review that mentioned its name not sure tho hope you can find it Emilee, cause a character with a role in the final film like that should have a name. I guess your right about expressionless machine but did you see all those "gagits" that come out of it like a drill, needle etc. Someone should really look into that I mean why is a machine equiped with such things if its not gunna use them could of been that someone or something rather told him to back off like you said anomoly, not sure tho, it just really bothers me I mean I never noticed it at first but now its like what?

I found it! The name of the Machine God is Deus Ex Machina! But don't give me all the credit, I got it from Grendelvs. Thanks Grendelvs, even though you don't know I used this!

Excellent thanx Emilee and Grendelvs I remember the machina part an now that you confirmed it, it does have a name. Man thats awsome it makes perfect sence, straight out of the websters dictionary.

Dues ex machina:
Etymology: New Latin, a god from a machine, translation of Greek theos ek mEchanEs
Date: 1697

1 : a god introduced by means of a crane in ancient Greek and Roman drama to decide the final outcome
2 : a person or thing (as in fiction or drama) that appears or is introduced suddenly and unexpectedly and provides a contrived solution to an apparently insoluble difficulty.

This is a really cool definition, and ironic too....
