»The Merovingian The Oracle ?«

i was surfing and i found one of your pages (locked now) that someone posted that the merovingian might have been the first oracle, before i say my part i have to state something , its a huge misconception that this movie was designed to be unclear and therefore open to interpretation, i have to say no it is not, the message is very direct and clear so this is why i sauy that theory is wrong for this reason.

Neo's conversation with The Architect.

The architect dislikes the oracle for the same reason he dislikes anyone that he cannot control. and the merovingian dislike everyone outside of his world because they are not under his control.

I agree. The merovingion blatantly doesn't have any of the powers of the oracle. He even wants her eyes so he can have her kind of power. Where'd you find this stupid theory?

merovingian was the one of the first matrix and he decided to live roaming into the matrix. he is the devil of the matrix.

there is no case to be an oracle. maybe he wants to become an oracle.

while it is not technically correct to say that the merovingian was the first oracle i do believe that they once had the same purpose...that is to find a way to control the anomaly and stabalise the matrix

hence the merovingian says in revolutions about the oracle

"if you take something from me,you will pay the price"

this refers to his purpose in which was to find the solution to the problem of the matrix collapsing

unfortunately for him,the oracle "stumbled" upon a solution and so the merovingian was stripped of his purpose and the oracle was given it...

and so the merovingian chose exile rather then deletion

in matrix 2 when the heroes goes to merovingian to find the keymaker, he sends a piece of cake to the girl that sits on the table opposite him.

then we see throught his eyes what he sees. he sees a code and he says to neo. i know that you can see it neo. so he was something like neo. he was the "one" of the 1st matrix.

When the meravingion says if you take something from me you will pay he was either talking about Seraph, The Keymaker or Sati. They were all stolen from the meravingion. The meravingion is a exile and as such HAS no purpose.

this is my point.he is an exile...all programmes that are exiles with the exeption of sati are obsolete and as such must have been replaced by another more advanced programme...this is wht they are exiles...they CHOSE to be exiled rather than deleted(do you like my subtle way of showing that the machines have choice...just realised it just now...might be signficant).this shows that they once had a purpose...this is why i believe the merovingian is an exile...his purpose was once that which the oracles is now...to control the anomaly

I presumed that his old purpose would have been relevant to the old perfect matrix wheras the oracle's purpose is completely different since it relates to the new horrible matrix.

i look at it as he was designed to investigate why the first matrix collapsed and found that it was caused by the anomaly but couldnt come up with a solution wheras the oracle could and so she replaced him as the one to control the anomaly..

I have to agree with Fatpie on this one. Especialy due to the reaction that the mero has when Seraph go to the club for the deal. He calls him, the Prodigal Son, and his little Judas. Also, I thought he was the Traficker of Information, maybe that's his purpose.
