Alot of discussion has come up over her character. Here is what I belive she represents. This is an elaboration of other posts ive read on her. This kinda goes against my other theories, but this makes more sense. If we look at the AI world, and essential the fundementals for building something such as the matrix, you have two approaches: the cognitive side, (the architecht) and the perceptive side as the architech pointed out that he lacks. It would seem that the oracle was the mother of the matrix, however i feel that Sati is. Only one line of proof in the movie backs this up unfortunatly though:

Architech : "Then she would be the mother...."
Neo : "The oracle..?"
Architech: "Pleasee.." (in a sarcastic tone)

Although the oracle does posses the key components of what a perceptive approach to the matrix would demand, this line goes against that. Sati and the Architech become usless when Neo choses the ''wrong" door. She is more then just the 'sunshine' program. She actaully rebuilds the matrix in the end... which is why i feel they should have called the third matrix RELOADED...

I honestly think when the Architect says "please.." in his sarcastic manner is because he finds the name 'humans' have given her quaint and a little trite. To him, this is not her proper name.
