No plugs on Neo's neck in Zion scene

Has anyone notice this? I've not read anything about it anywhere....
When Neo and company exit the Neb inside Zion, everyone except Neo has the plugs (for lack of a better word) on the back of their necks...

The only time anyone doesn't have the plug is when they are inside the Matrix, yet Neo's is gone when he is in Zion.

Thoughts?
