Humans are so easy to trick, because they base everything on perception, and not only perception but their own perception.
When the Matrix was first created humans rejected it. Because they didn't want to accept everything was perfect. The second Matrix humans still rejected it. But when did 99% of them accept it? When they were given a choice.
We believe we are awake right now, because we remember getting out of bed and standing up, we believe we are awake right now because we contrast this world to the dream world, we know that in the dream world we can do things that we can't do in this world, so to prove we are not dreaming we'll test out certain things like gravity or pain. This is how we define our world. This is how we prove to ourselves that we are not dreaming. We need something else as direct reference to prove our current state of existance. If the dream world was exactly like the real world, we would never know when we were dreaming or awake.
This is what the machines used to their advantage. Zion is a computer simulation. but wait, Zion is so real, they can't do this, they can't do that, they bleed, the machines rule the earth, the sky is scorched, everything looks so real...compared to what? Compared to the Matrix. Humans feel that if they have the choice of either staying in the Matrix or escaping out to Zion they are escaping to the real world. The feel since the rules out of the Zion are so concrete it proves that it's real, just like how we prove that we are awake at this moment. When the first Matrix was created the rules were much like the rules of Zion the physics were very much close to that of real life, but it was a disaster because, humans eventually realized it was a fake and they rejected it. But this new Matrix works because humans believe they are jacking out of the Matrix, this is how they define Zion as real, because the physics in Zion are so real. All the Machines have to do is strengthen the physics of the world outside of the Matrix, and weaken the physics inside of the Matrix and boom humans believe that the world outside of Zion is real. Just like we believe we are awake right now because we know when we go outside and try to fly it won't work.
When humans Jack in the Matrix, they are just linking to the Matrix program. Realize when people are talking about the two worlds they never say human world. They always say this world and your world, Or this world and that world, or your world and the machine world. If the Matrix is one of the worlds and it is fake, wouldn't the other world just likely to be fake in the context? The Trainman runs a program that links the machine world to the Matrix. How can this link be done? Because they are both simulations.
The Mobil ave. train station link to the Matrix is kind of like the Jacking in Link to the Matrix it's just a different method created by the train man. Why do you think when Neo was in a coma he still showed signs of being jacked in. Mobil Ave. is sort of a place inbetween both simulation worlds. Those bodies that Neo and Trinity see in those pods...simulations. Real, original, before machines took over bodies are outside of the Zion simulated world and the Matrix, they are beyond both worlds. Neo stopped the sentinels because he is some how hooked up to the source, his real body i mean. Not the one in the simulation that you see when he jacked out of the Matrix at the end of reloaded. That's how Smith went inside of Bane, because he just switched simulations, but we see him as coming out of the Matrix and into the real world.
Neo's real body is hooked up to and is one with the Machine Mainframe's consciousness. He is able to control everything from there, he just didn't know he could he thought that he could only control what is inside of the Matrix, when the truth is he can control everything, he just wasnt' ready to because he didnt' believe he could. He accepted the physics and the reality of the Zion simulation, because he believed it was the real world. Neo absorbed the Sentinel because they are just a simulation they aren't real pyshical bodies, just like Neo's body wasn't real and physical.
Still not convienced? Ok what about when Neo met up with the Architect.
Architect - "The door to your right leads you to the source, and the salvation of Zion. The Door to your right leads you back to The Matrix, to her and to the end of your species."
ok let's use some common sense here. Neo reached the source or whatever at the end of Revolutions right? But wasn't he outside of the Matrix, how would he have been able to do it while he was still inside of the Matrix? You're telling me his mind left his body and it would've travelled outside of the Matrix to the real world and eventually to the source? that doesn't make any sense. The reason why he would've been able to do it through the Matrix is because they are both just simulations, he would of just switched simulations. Basically going through that door would've been similar to jacking out, and linking back to the so called "real" world.
The source is the CPU of the giant simulation. It is the Central Processing Unit of the entire simulation (Zion, real world, mobil ave., Matrix,). Beyond the source is the real world. Good job machines for suckering the humans into believing they were in the real world....because it's so easy for them to accept what is real, just like a lot of the suckers in the Matrix.
