»Possible Actors for Keanu Substitution«

Which actor/actress would you like to see in a possible-matrix 4, in substitution for Keanu Reaves?

My ideas (in this precise moment, maybe later i will add some more):

David Duchovny: ideal for a Matrix-Conspiracy-Theory

Arnold Shwrznegger: the iron-Neo

Jet Li: not the perfect actor but for shure the best fighter

Leonardo di Caprio: Matrix for womens

Monica Belluci : i know that she is being used as Per-dont-know-what in matrix 2 and 3 , but she is Venus-Like, so it´s perfect for male public.

Antonio Banderas: this guy have lots of style

Brad Pitt: good actor

Sean Connor: even better, it would give some cold-british syle to Matrix movie. His speechs are great (the fusion of a Sean Connor with a Jet Li it´s the perfect combination).


any actor with a very normal face (anyone that you wouldn´t notice in the street: afterall, nothing says that the One must be beautiful).

This are some ideas but i want just one choice from you. Just pick only one famous actor that you would consider great for a new "The One" character.

I´m waiting for ideas.

GAH! No! No! No! OK guys, no one could ever replace Keanu! Not only is he drop dead gorgeous, but he just IS Neo. He'll never be able to shake it now. reasons he's perfet for the role:

1. It was perfect timing for his carrer because he hadn't been in a big flick in a while and it was something fresh
2. I don't know the guy on a personal basis (I WISH!) but in interviews he seems very smart and all that plus the guy is a work-a-holic, which is perfect for shooting a movie (or movies, as it turned out) like this.
3. Come on, he totally looks like a savior. He's very simple (but hot) looking, he's got the right physique and he looks nice in crappy clothes (like the ones he wears in Zion, and in real life for that matter.
4. Although he wasn't the best actor during the first matrix, it kinda worked for him since he was kinda akward and clueless about the whole matrix del anyways.

Neither of them can act worth crap, and they're both stupid. you can't be good in a movie if you can't even wrap your mind around the meaning of the word "anomaly."

That's a pretty good suggestion John, if Keanu hadn't have been chosen for the role, Harrison Ford could've been a pretty good alternative!

Sorry to break up this love affair, but I couldn't help but notice that when this topic was first started it was suggested that we could've had a female ONE.

Being the forward thinking person I am, I would like to suggest Angelina Jolie, since she really kicks ass!

first i dont think im getting this question, is it another one or another neo? for another one, jonney depp. for another neo, it cant be done, reeves may be a meidocre actor but people have already connected reeves with neo and he looks the part.

Maybe Tom Cruise could play him - Minority Report was a similarly dark tale involved loss of vision.

Alternatively Jim Carrey - they could just reuse loads of scenes from Bruce Almighty and CGI in some sunglasses...
