That is what most of us are asking. Maybe not specifically that question but other questions that were, sadly, not addressed in Revolutions. This is what I have done; watch the first one again and forget the other 2 have been made. It makes more sense that way. Trust me. The original Matrix provides the perfect closure to an awesome movie that would have you begging for more but ultimately, you would not be dissapointed. Once you realized that sequels were not going to be made than you leave it up to your own imagination as to what would happen next, if anything at all. Do me a favor, and listen to the last monologue Keanu Reeves gives at the end of M1 and tell me if the other two in any way, elaborated on this piece of script.

Perhaps this time, the One doesn't have enough time to tweak the Matrix world. Most of his time and energy was spent to cease the war (which is a big change in itself).
