It says in the transcript:

Quote:

Morpheus: "I have dreamed a dream, and now that dream has gone from me."

Does Morpheus really say that? After rewatching Matrix Reloaded the trascript doesn't seem to fit.

I know, but I played it several times. Morpheus kind of whispers but I still don't hear the transript's wording.

Anybody else who disagrees with the transcript?

Before I've read the transcript, I always thaught he said
"I have dreamt a dream and now that dream has come before me"... Wierd.
But who knows... only Laurence Fishburne can confirm what he said.

Morpheus' license plate is DAN0203 which leads us to the Book Daniel in the Old Testament. The Bible tells it all!

Daniel 2
1 And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.
2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
3 And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.
4 Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.
5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
6 But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.
7 They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it.

I've always thought that Morpheus says;" I have dreamed a dream, and now that dream has gone from me". The transcript just confirmed what I'd heard Cool

Same here. Clear as (something really clear). But some people even think Morpheus is called Orpheus, so I think there is some kind of matrix-hearing-virus out there.

I too went over and over that part to try and hear it properly and its exactly as the transcript states.

I suppose we'll set aside the basics of his actual dream being shattered by the reality of the war not yet being over.

Not to mention the Neb reference with that. King Nebuchadnezzar refference where-in he said "I have dreamed a dream" referring to his dream of a statue of a man being crushed by a big rock that cast its shadow over the earth.

These movies are so so much better if youre well read in alot of old texts and newer ones. After watching Revisited I went and took out the books they made Keanu read before touching the script and wow... makes a LOT of difference

From Revisited;

Keanu: "Larry and Andy said 'OK, we'd like you to play Thomas Anderson (Neo)'"
Keanu: "I had to read Baudrillard. I had to read 'Out of Control' which is about systems, evolution, robots."
Keanu: "And there was another book which was 'Evolutionary Psychology'"
Keanu: "Those were three books that they wanted me to read before I even opened up the script"

amazon.com... (Jean Baudrillard) Which is the Book Thomas Anderson Hides his stash in (M1)

you mean "i have dreamed a dream, but now that dream had gone from me"

how can it be this
if u watch the film then u will understand.
"come before me" means that its true its infront of him, its happening.
u clearly didnt watch the film 15 times
as the Dream that morpheus has is the prophacy
that the one goes to the source and it all ends
which doesnt happen, hense "the dream has gone from me"

i dont no how u didnt hear what he says as it is as clear as day.
and also if u have the DVD u can check the subs.

about the book thing. I was going to get Simulacra and Simulation as soon as I watched it, like, during september, and it's past college level and madly expensive. And ideas on breaking the code?

TRUE! --nervous --very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; but why will you say that I am mad?
