In Reloaded, after Morpheus and Trinity get the keymaker, they are persued by the Twins. The famous highway scene follows, and as it goes, Morpheus and Trinity obviously don't want to fight the Twins, they are just trying to get to an exit.

Well, there's a huge hole here, because the keymaker can't go through the exit with them!

So assume that Morpheus and Trinity were able to make it to an exit... the keymaker would be sitting on his ass and the Twins would have no problem bringing him back to Merovingian!

As it happens, Morpheus takes out the twins, but it pisses me off watching that scene because Morpheus and Trinity are trying to avoid the Twins when their only hope of escape is to kill or capture them, and it's kind of hard to capture someone who can go through things Smile

And my last problem with this scene is... when the Escalade flipped over, why wouldn't the Twins go invisible and float out? Why crawl out of a crashed vehicle? And THEN, when it blows up, they finally go invisible... I assumed (and hoped) that they survived the explosion.

i can only anwer the one about the keymaker, its been discussed before that the keymaker is just a program, so i say, who's to say that the crew cant put the keymaker on a disk and label it keymaker? then when they go back in, flip through the disks until they find the keymaker program and upload him into the construct with the rest of the crew. as for the rest, i didnt bother to notice theese things, because im too lazy, and now they piss me off too. DAMNIT!

It is purpose that created us.

Good point. Perhaps it was the Keymaker's purpose to get them to a certain point? And that would fulfill him?

I also like the idea that the Zionites could put the Keymaker on a disc. Can you imagine coming across a CD labeled "Smith"? Hmmmm...

Here it goes,

1. they were not trying to find a exit, they were simply getting away from the Twins and then the Agents. they had no plan for exiting. That I could tell. I doubt a hardline would be on a freeway. I'm sur wehn Neo grabbbed them he took them to a safe place. The keymaker himself pobably found one. Since he has keys to everywhere and anything. Thats the way he was programmed. kinda like a key code cracker for warez programs, lol .

2. The Twins are not dead. Not from where I see. they are not easily killed. No mere explosion would kill these dudes. I'm sure they will appear in the MXO game sooner or later.

chew on those theories. I think they rock .

I disagree...They WERE obviously trying to get to an exit because they called Link when they got out of the underground garage and specifically asked him for one. Link told them that the closest exit was not very close at all, which prompted them to have to navigate the freeway as the fastest route to that exit. They were NOT simply trying to get away from the twins and the agents.

I think this is a huge mistake,,,,and they would not have had time to somehow convert the Keymaker to disk !

Just assume they can add the keymaker to a disk as that other guy said. It makes perfect sense and there is no need to rack your brain to try to find an answer you'll never figure out. The W brothers did not show what happened so everything we say is just speculation.

Good point Magik.

Well, going on speculation, I'd say one thing.

Morpheus and Trinity needed an exit. But if you remember from Enter The Matrix Niobe tells her crew that Morpheus had just called her and asked for her help, and then she jacks in and calls Link. So maybe Morpheus knew that if they could reach an exit they could hand off the Keymaker to Niobe in preparation for his Speech with the Keymaker and the crew from the Vigilent. Maybe...

I'm onboard with this theory. If you can create training programs like the one involving the Woman In Red, then you could find a place to download the Keymaker to and keep him there until you needed him.

And the Keymaker looked like he didn't get out much so a few hours with the Woman in Red might have boosted his morale.

lmao, that's hillarious! Whitelaugh

And El Escogido, I'm with you that they were looking for an Exit because if they weren't they would not have been a reason to take the freeway, which Morpheus and Link considered suicide.

If they were just looking for a place to lay low, they would have just went into a crack house instead of blasting down the freeway and taking all those chances.
