I think most people would agree that the ending was dissapointing.

Lines like "But I never completed the training program!" from some whiney bloke pretending to be 16. And replies to such lines like "Neither did I" can only cause revulsion from the audience's gut.

The lack of kung fu and the super long squidey CGI scene (which some might argue was TOO long) doesn't do any good either.

The Meravingion scene seems rather pointless since after Neo wonders how he got into a kind of limbo all Trinity seems to have to do to get him out is say please. (Many of us had hoped to see some kung fu from Persephone or at least for the Meravingion to do something special of some kind)

Many people have criticised the ending - but the only problem I found was with the last couple of seconds. That sunrise combined with that particular music had something distinctly corny and bile inducing about it. Which was a pity after Neo's truly moving death scene where his body is carried away by the machines.

Oh well - I'm hoping it works better when watched directly following Reloaded (after all they are both halves of the same movie)

Let me tell you why it is not a good film. (since the "why" is the only thing that matters in this Chain Reaction of consequence we call existence)

Because it is a GREAT film.

P.S. The dialogue is clever, and those who think otherwise are captious.

I actually liked that part. I felt it helped that's kid's confidence to do what he needed to do with the gate and so forth - that even a rock-hard exterior can be parenting a small secret like that.

I was happy that this movie showed a bit more substance in it than just scenes of constant kung fu that went on far too long. Don't get me wrong, the kung fu is great, but too much of it can get - well, kind of boring.

Say please? Did she not have a gun pointed to his head? Lol.

Ah well, the ending may have been a tad bit corny, but it was adorable because Sati said she made that sun for Neo - I thought that was sweet.

I thought that Sati just took the green hue out of the Matrix, making it less oppressive and subconsciously wrong to the people plugged into it(something abstract, that the Architect would not have deemed necessary, but sometimes abstractions make all the difference). I believe there was already a sun(and a moon, if you recall the "Superman thing" in the clouds).

if you like the Lone Wolf and Cub films, please pick up the Dark Horse published Lone Wolf and Cub 28 volume manga--It is Revolutionary.

The difference was that the Sun was more "real"
the other sun was more artificial.

BTW: I liked the ending a lot Very Happy
