Hi. I just signed up for the boards and wouldn't you know it, my first post is in a 2 month old topic.

We know that Pi is transcendental but can we get the meep version? This is a light-hearted but informative take on the situation. This bit is key.

Now that we can identify the association between the computational errors inherent in transcendal numerics with the single unifying element of the meep we may proceed to some neuroscience.
In the inner workings of the brain, aspects of object are comprehended seperately by the seperate hemispheres of the brain. While one side identifies numbers and logical systems, the other identifies colours and shapes.

It is there shown that while we may visualize a circle employing the right hemisphere and we may evaluate the expression (16^2 / 9^2 || 355 / 113 || 3.1415 || etc.) employing the left, to fully utilize the information contained in the symbol PI requires a harmony of the entire system.
Speaking of harmony I see also another famous transcendental value here in Phi. The Da Vinci code has made us all aware of the most popular appearances of the golden ratio while the real understanding is still somewhat hidden. The numbers of Phi feature prominently in the musical scale.

Each note on the scale is given in Hertz or cycles per second. This requires an understanding of both PI and cyclic wave motion. The sine wave.

A musician famous not for his music, Max Planck is cited as the father of quantum theory. Planck described Blackbody radiation having energy not distributed proportional to the frequency but rather according to a complex function. Thus the energy of a complex wave was related to the existing ratios over the entire spectrum in a manner similar to the chord produced in combining notes of a scale.
Albert Einstein, a physicist, who would have preferred to have been a musician, then was able to demonstrate that not only was this distribution the case, but also that the transfer of energy from light to inertia in the electron was indicative of a corpuscle of light; a light particle; a photon.
From this startling equivalence of energy and mass it then followed in the work of Dirac that like energy, mass could be thought of as having a 'spin' characteristic. An electron, like any other particle can be expressed as a function of Pi!
To bring this all back to home plate. In each note of the scale within the matrix, the program estimates the value of Pi as well as that of Phi, thus in the complex chord which comprises the human being (and truly all things at the microscopic scale) several anomalies arise indicative of the interaction between the environment and the conscious being. Rather, the naturally occuring distribution of energy within the system is upset by the state of the conscioussness which cannot be balanced by the system. The harmonics of the mind-state are not anticipated. The consciousness is then able to drain energy from the elsewhere in the system I suppose.
I would think that we're looking more at the immense abundance of radiation from the Sun which passes through the earth in a finite amount of time. Kind of like the internet... or a big pool. Sure the visible waves are blocked by clouds, but lightning still strikes yes? Perhaps in understanding the reality of the simulation Neo was able to utilize his actual stationary position to channel momentum (energy) from another moving body?
Or perhaps more true to the 'elsewhere in the system' source for the energy we actually have the elusive zero point energy at play.
Interestingly enough Einstein's general relativity equation which determines the curvature of space-time effected by an object's motion is linked again to PI though this time on a macroscopic scale. So in terms of violating the laws of gravity and punching with the energy of a speeding semi, it all comes back to being in a state of perfect harmony not calculable within the confines of the system.
But what about our really real The One? Surely this can only take place on the silver screen? Until you see that energy really is a matter of Phi and Pi working in harmony. Energy is all around. And whatever form you understand that as is within you and without you.
Then there's always this beautiful normalizing at work to make it really intriguing. PI and PHI have a common factor other than 1.
