That connection between Sati's sunrise and the sun trinity sees is interesting. I never really thought about it, but lookin back on it, the sun seen in the Matrix does closely parallel that of the skyline that trinity sees.

This could also follow my theory on the machine discovery of "love/passion," perhaps they reinserted Trinity in some way so Neo wouldn't be alone. The love of his life is still with him in some way.

Sati can't be Trinity's re-incarnation, since Sati had existed before Trinity died. That means that Sati had to be born after (right away, in a a few years, or longer, it doesn't matter) Trinity died, in order to be Trinity's re-incarnation.

Unfortunately no one can be told what The Matrix is...You have to see it for yourself.

I don't speak Sankrit, but I think Sati, Satia, and Satya mean "Truth." Is there anyone out there who can verify this?

On Sati being the reincarnation of Trinity. . .Sati was born before Trinity dies.

Here's an observation on Sati's significance: In the game "Enter the Matrix", the Oracle says she allowed two programs to betray her (give the Merovingian her shell's termination code) in order to save a child, who we find out in the movie is Sati. In the movie, when asked why she looks different, the Oracle replies "I made a choice. . .to help Neo." This must mean that Sati was pretty crucial in Neo's quest, but I can't figure out how she was important at all. Could it have been to illustrate that to Neo that the machines have feelings too (a la the pep talk he gets from Rama-Kandra)?

I like the "Truth" part...

Consider Satis parents occupations (not to mention they were the ones who sold the oracles termination code but after consulting with the oracles about it, saving sati and teh oracle agreed to take care of sati...)

from:

zionmainframe.net...

Satis Parents occupations:

"Rama-Kandra: Oh, yes. I'm the power plant systems manager for recycling operations. My wife is an interactive software programmer, she is highly creative."

Now...

Programming is the act of creating automations of complexity, made from simpler automations, in order to simplify the use and reuse of the complexity by the user of the complexity.

But programming is also self recursive, meaning any such automation, no matter how complex or simple its internal automation is, it can be used thru its simplified interface as a building block in teh creation of another automation.

The lie IS: putting blocks of complexity together is to complex for users and besides, they don't want to do it.

The Truth IS: Any complexity can be automated into a simple interface, including the act of programming complexity. And to claim users don't want to put things together for themsellves is an outright lie. Where upon the only way to prove otherwise is to provide the user the easy to use tools to do so. Certainly avoiding the providing of such tools to the user, does not prove anything, but only that of the intent to avoid proof otherwise.

The primary public preceived triplet of programming is input, processing, output.

The metaphor from the movie, the three agents, Smith being the processing element, even his replication or recursion.

This message #26 (wait for teh page to fully load and automatica, lly go to it, or you can go to it manually) goes further than you probably want to go...

It may seem a little off topic, but to impress upon you guys that there is references to real things is perhaps important to get you to see clearer.

Sati represents the Greek goddess Aurora. Aurora was the goddess of the dawn, which Sati created at the end of the Matrix: Revolutions. Notice we had never actually seen the sun in a previous Matrix movie. Nor had we seen grass or water. It was just a massive super city. The Machines saw no purpose in these things. Which is why Sati was going to be deleted. They didn't see the purpose in having a program to make sunrises. After the Matrix reset, old programs from old Matrixes came back, which had undoubtedly been phased out when the machines saw that they had no real purpose.

Hope this helps everyone.

In the indian cosmos the ultimate/absolute reality is said to have three qualities: sat - chit - ananda

Sanskrit can not be translated with one word, the words are often concepts. The experience of reality and "enlightenment" are subjective and sanskrit is a very subjective/personal language...

Sat - truth, the "thusness" of reality, reality as it is, sometimes romanticized as being the ultimate truth/purpose, the existence of reality

Chit - consciousness, the lustre of existence, "knowledge"

Ananda - bliss, the nature of reality

Unlike english, sanskrit words can be placed anywhere in a sentence, the conjugation of the word is what defines the meaning not the position. Words that end in an i are feminine, so sat when speaking of a female would be sati

pali is "poor man" sanskrit, it was the common language of the people in buddha's day. The historical buddha dictated that the teachings should be related to the common people and be in pali

sati in pali means mindfulness, presence of mind

as previously mentioned sati is a cermony where a women throws herself on the fire, so sati could be self-sacrifice (the parents giving her away)....

The first time i saw revolutions i thought that truth (sat) is what sati represented, truth restored in the new cycle.

Each character has multiple meanings, so this may be one of sati....

I beg to differ....

Though I'm not sure I buy into either theory entirely... I do believe the two can coexist, and feed off of eachother... One is stating that programs were created to watch of the sunrise etc... The other... programs were created to watch over the sunrise etc, but through matrix changes, they became obsolete, and were obsolete until recently, when they were reintroduced... Both can coexist... Can't they?
