The Anomaly revealed as both beginning and end.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the Anomaly was. A lot of people say it's Neo but there are many things i've considered and i at this moment believe that the Anomaly is not Neo but something Neo did.

Ok first of all on Matrix Reloaded when the three upgraded agents come in they call Neo the Anomaly, what i didn't realize was that this is the first time Neo is ever called an Anomaly. Why didn't the previous agents call him an Anomaly? It's as if now he is an Anomaly.

Another thing to consider on the first Matrix movie Neo doesn't do anything amazing that Trinity or Morpheus can't really do, untill the end of the movie. Oh sure you may say that he started to use his abilities in the helicopter scene but all he did was pull the strap that was attached to Trinity. In fact she shot off the strap before he started pulling. It isn't only after he instantly gets back up from being killed that he starts using his abilities.

Another thing to consider is that on Matrix Reloaded when Trinity died and Neo was bringing her back, when you see them in the coding of the Matrix, Neo is glowing and Trinity isn't. But when he brings her back he heart starts to glow in the same manner then it starts to spread all over the rest of her body....is it starting to make sense now?

The Architect said that the mother (i believe the Oracle) stumbled upon a solution to were 99% of the test subjects would accept the program as long as they were given a choice, even if they were only aware of the choice at a near unconscious level. But those that refuse the program although a minority would constitute and escalating probability of Failure. what is the Minority? 1% i.e. "The One". Neo is part of that 1% that refuse the program, bringing about the Anomaly. I guess the most important question is....what is the choice?....to accept death.

Death in the Matrix isn't really dying, it's a program just like everything else in the Matrix. Just like the trees the pain the visuals it is the human mind that makes everything seem real....even death. Like the kid inside the Oracle's house said you must realize the truth..that there is no spoon, there is no death. But upon refusing the death program it creates an error in the programing of the Matrix, bringing about the Systemic Anomaly. Death in the Matrix is the end of Neo's life..but also the beginning of the Anomaly. Everything in the Matrix can be programed, but death is the biggert problem because it can happen in the Matrix, but a human can always decide to boot it's brain back up, because they aren't really dead. If their bodies are still intact and present they can always choose to come back, creating errors in the system.

The Architect needs this code to return to the Source so the system can conduct a recompilation and fix the Error that Neo carries, he is dead but also alive at the same time this is how the system reads him and it needs to fix this error. Neo rose over death, he's not suppose to be able to do this, he contradicted the system.

One last thing to consider is that when Agent Smith and the other two agents were after Neo they didn't know he was "The One" they never mentioned anything about this. In fact the only reason they even went after Neo was because and i quote "We have their next target his name is Neo" the only reason the Agents wanted him was because of Trinity and Morpheus, they knew nothing because there was nothing to know at the time before his death Neo was just a regular average guy. "If they knew what i knew you'd be dead by now". Then when they got Morpheus all they wanted were access codes to the Zion mainframe, the only reason Smith fights Neo is because he was in the way. Neo was just a regular human being to Smith that's why he said it was inevidable because Smith knew that a human can't beat an Agent, that's why he thought it was impossible and was shocked when Neo beat him.

How did Neo dodge bullets before the time of his death? Anybody in the Matrix can dodge bullets if they focus hard enough. Neo barely dodged those bullets he even got nicked by one. When he becomes the Anomaly he doesn't need to dodge bullets.

Sorry for making it so long any feed back please, any rejections and obligations and comments?

Very very good observation. But, I see one small point. Death isn't a program, it's a line of code within the program. It's a variable in the equation.

If x(Neo) + y(injury) =z(the amount of injury needed to kill a person) :goto dead

The problem is that neo rejected the solution. In a way he is like an exiled program who has rejected deletion. It is at this point that Neo becomes the One. The Oracle says being the one is alot like being in love. That means anyone "potentially" can be the one. In fact, that suggests an identity for all of the children in the Oracles home. They are all potentially the one, if they overcom Z and become the anomoly.

edited because that equation doesn't make sense....

if x > y: goto z

x= injury
y= the amount of injury a person can sustain and live
z= death

your logical breakdown of the anamoly has amazed me. your theory also proves the architect's statement:

Quote:

You are the eventuality of an anomaly…

ALSO -

YOUR THEORY DISPROVES MY CURRENT INTERPRETATIION OF THE ORACLE'S BALANCING EQUATION. - BRAVO!

the matrix exists, the agents exists, zion exist - because the anamoly exists concurrently.

i must now reanalize my theory on the oracle program's balancing equation.

yikes - this has caused a systemic fluctuation in my train of logic. i must analyse this and post at later date.

(getting sleepy)

not 1 but 2 logical mistakes...

i have since reworked my theory on the matrix program, zion, and the anamoly.

the first logical mistake inherrent in my theory is that i equated free will with choice. free will does not equate choice. choice is a subset of free will. free will is the ability to make a choice even if it is against one's purpose. this better supports the fact that free will is an ability only inherent in humans not machines since choices are available to machines. a choice in simple programing language are two parallel IF, THEN statements - you can of course have a multitude of IF, THEN statements (choices) but the lowest common denominatror is 2. since choice is systemic to both the matrix program and my theory about that program, it has created the following fluctuation

the second logical mistake inherent in my theory is that i equated the anamoly's eventuality with a concurrent variable systemic to the matrix program. the original post in this thread does an examplary job of both disproving my assertion and proving that the anamoly is an eventuality by design. in short - IF, everything that has a begining, had an end, THEN by the oracle program's design, the begining must have a choice and the end must have a choice.

let's furthur expand the work put forth in the original post. in order for the matrix program to function, an initial choice must be present before it initiates. in essence, free will must be executed outside the simulation. since a choice must be present, the least and most efficient amount of choices are: simulated life (matrix) and real life (zion). upon accepting a simulated life, your life would be completely mapped out for you - facilitated by the architect - and masked by the illusion of choice -facitlitated by the oracle.

in further reiteration of this thread's original theory, even simulated death would only initiate by choice. because of this, an eventuality would occur that would create a compensatory anamoly from the source. the term compensatory is used since the source (or any program created by that source) cannot solve for or equate anything to free will but must account for its existance in its simulation.

a byproduct of this compensation would be the knowledge of all variables in direct relation to the anamoly inherent to the simulation. this is why the one has supernatural powers in the simulation.

once the anamoly is present in the simulation, the freeing of minds from that simulation becomes relatively easier since an euqation to reject the simulation now exists within that simulation. in essence, free will can now be executed within the simulation. this is expressed ultimately by the self-transision of The Kid.

if free will exists within the simultion, the potential for destablizing the matrix program increases exponentially. the only solution for the machines to stabilize their energy source is to destroy the choice outside of the simulation (zion). this action systematically guides the anamoly (and the one) back to the source so that the the equation that is the matrix program can be reset with free will once again outside of the simulation.

this expanded theory can be used to extrapolate:
- how that architect can manipulate the one to destroy the human race
and
- how the smith program mutated so he could systematically solve for and destroy the anamoly,
which i have covered in previous posts in other .

what is of priority is the implications this expanded theory has on the oracle program it's relation to the agents, zion and to the prophecy of the one.

if the matrix is a simulation of life, then the choices within that simulation are also simulated. the entire set of simulated choices for any given variable is completely known by the oracle program so that it can facilitate the illusion of choice within the simulation. to ensure the stability of the matrix program, agents would need to be created whenever a variable executes a choice that threatens that or another variable's acceptance of the matrix program. agent programs would need to be created by the oracle program to facilitate their effectivness.

if an inital choice must be present before the matrix program can initialize on a human, there must be an alternate to the simulation. therefore, zion must be allowed by the machines to exist as a self-sustained populace to facilitate that initial choice. since the oracle program facilitiates this choice, zion is a direct product of the oracle program's design.

if the one can potentially be anybody in the matrix simulation, and the anamoly is an eventuality, it makes one wonder whether the oracle created a self-fullfilling prophecy to catalyze the process to her true intention: peace between man and machine.

and finally. this expanded theory better collaborates with the power of the one extending into both worlds.

if the anamoly is code or an equation that must return to the source, then the anamoly must come from the source. given that the singular conciousness known as AI is sentient in a machine mainframe which equates to the source, all machines come from the source. and since the machines cannot solve for the particular code or equation that is the anamoly, it can only compensate for the anamoly by revealing all variables in direct relation to it. in essence, the anamoly is also an encapsulation of the source. knowledge of the source code or equation facilitates power over the machines in the real world.

we can then extrapolate why the one went into a coma and into the wetworks program construct, mobil ave when he initially stopped the sentinals. (the wetworks construct theory was expressed in the thread entitled matrix-explained.com...

if the purpose of the one is to return the anamoly to the source via a reset of the program, then the reset of an AI sentinal would trigger the the one to complete that purpose. if neo was still plugged into the matrix, the anamoly would have returned to the source. instead he immediately trapped himself into the construct of the wetworks progra known as the trainman.

using this logic, it would be correct to assume that neo would have instantly returned to mobil ave whenever he reset a sentinal. however, this would only hold true if solving for a code or equation equalled nullification. however, nullification is a choice of possible solutions. with sufficient knowledge of a source code or equation for AI, an alternate solution to resetting a sentinal can be formulated.

this theory seems logically sound and has survived rigorous testing against the first and second films in matrix saga.

The becomming an anomaly

Wow, great deep theories. Even after reading them i find it difficult to retain everything I've read!

However, in the case of Neo not becomming an anomaly until the second movie, I believe he was always an anomaly even in the first one. The agents and such simply didn't know he was the next anomaly, so why would they call him as such?

Morpheus even says to Neo when he wakes up after being bugged, "if they knew what I know, you'd probably be dead." I think it just wasn't obvious until Neo destroyed Smith and came back from death.

Good job drummcode, although agree with the most, still few points are not clear. Anyway by reading your post, something got inside my head. There is an scene at the end of M3 that shows a sentinel going through Neo, and we all see what some have called "pure energy" (golden glow). This fact has been very debated, but i have read no good explanations about it. My question is, could there be some kind of transfering data or update (whatever you want to call it) from the sentinel to Neo?

Please send me your thoughts 'cause it is eating my brains! Gumpred

this scene was also the hardest to test the expanded theory on since it can easily be interpreted as fantasy - and even though an explanation corroborates with the expanded theory, it also requires a beleif in a higher power. depending on your religous disposition, the beleif in a higher power would be the realm of fantasy.

the scene shows us a mirror enactment of neo's death that occurs in the first matrix movie. we have a machine taking the life of a human, and the human refusing to die - but this time in the real world and not in a simulation. the only explanation would have to be the machine made code or equation that is the anamoly. but we're getting ahead of ourselves. first, let's see how a machine would solve for the unsolvable.

the anamoly is solved by revealing the entire code for the life simulation, taking the remainder which is the code or equation that is free will and repositing both equations or codes in the only device that could store it - a human mind. this is not so much a solution but a means to account for the anamoly.

if the matrix is a simulation of life and all that seperated that simulation from reality was the code or equation for free will, then a comprehension of both codes could be used to change the physics of reality. the sentinal induces enough damage to cause death to neo, but neo uses his comprehension of the code or equation of free will to not accept death and his comprehensio of the simulation code to change the physics of the real world.

so your next logical question should be: what is the code or equation for free will and why don't we understand it the way neo does?

there are many theoligians who beleive that free will is a gift from a higher power (Likewise, in various theologies, angels and other such divine beings also don't have free will). many spiritual mathamaticians beleive that our current math has not evolved enough to fathom such an equation or code. however - free will does exist even if we cannot comprehend why it exists.

I think that your revised theory is excellent but the only question that I have is why the variables of the source were revealed to Neo when he rejected death?
