OK - I haven't the time to read through all the posts, but my first thought when coming out of Reloaded was that it smacked of the storyline of "the 13th floor", a movie I saw some while back, which was the whole "matrix in a matrix" type of thing - has anyone else seen this and do they agree?

Cheers for the pointer...only thing I would argue is that half of those films don't bear any real resemblance to the Matrix, other than the fact they are a bit out there...
Take for example Angel Heart - the parallel to Fight Club I can see...but the Matrix?
And Memento? Great film, but really, how is it like the Matrix...?

This list consists of movies that have one of the following themes:
*You are not what you seem to be
OR
*Worlds within worlds
OR
*Revelations at the end of the movie turn the movie upside down
To not spoil the movies completely I mixed these theme types into 1 list.

So, could you not have added "Run Lola Run", "SLiding doors", and "Donnie Darko" to name but a few - I mean, they aren't so obvious, but while we're at it...?!?

Don't see the connection here.

Don't know these movies. However I see a connection between "Sliding doors" and "Lola"

Dealing with fate, is not how the movie similarity comes about. |
I remember something like this in Minority Report:
"Why did you catch the ball?"
"Because it was about to fall"
"But it didn't fall, because you caught it"
Very Oracle-ish to me....
Also, the vision of the female psychic-being (I forgot what they are called...), which everyone taught to be a recurring dream, turned out to be real.

No, it's just a paradoxon. Can god create a stone he cannot lift? If god can forsee the future, does it mean he cannot change it?

I am still not convinced. However I agree that there is a us.imdb.com...
