I find myself wondering, since Neo is "The One", if maybe he isn't the "God" in the equation and every other character in his life is just reflectioning different aspects of himself. Smith was part of him...his opposite. Try thinking of the rest of the characters as just being fragments of Neo like Smith is...representing different aspects of Neo...some of which he is more out of touch with than others.

Personally, I think Neo created the whole thing. He is a computer programmer. Since he seems to have the power of a God, it's not impossible. I can see how the whole thing is just an outer reality reflection of his own inner reality.

The mirror is a symbol of the imagination and truth. It is seldom found in heraldry except for the round mirror held in the right hand of a mermaid, but it does appear occasionally as a charge in a coat of arms or on a crest.

well i know it is quite a long time now from the whole matrix wave over the earth but it has been in the back of my mind for a long time (my 1st post here)....

i think that there are so many different ideas and opinions (and unfortunately dumb people, me included). all i "feel" when i look at the whole idea on base instinct is a wave, wherever you go all over the world, you can mention the matrix and chances are someone will know about the movie, i suppose that that "idea" is then a virus or a wave that "infects" the audience with new ideas and concepts that may have been alien to them (ie: the normal joe who has no ideas about alternate realities or worlds within worlds).

i think, that although i did not enjoy the hollywood display of the movies, it struck a true cord, a way to get people to slowly open thier minds so that one day we may actually come to appreciate the universe a little bit. that is my idea of the essence of sci-fi, to open the minds of the audience to things that they may not accept otherwise, and then it comes to this....(my favorite part)

when that fiction becomes the reality, (ie: william gibson writes about "virtual reality", "cyberspace", and the "matrix" in 1974 (see neuromancer)) and today we have the begginings of VR and simulated realities.

a fact is that "johnny mnemonic", shadowrun (an RPG and a video game) were both by Gibson as well. (ill stop with him now)

i guess my scattered brain is trying to say that this world we live in is the place we grow into the shapes that be, at the moment we cannot see the larger shape because we are too small, but for us to give credit to a god or science is to already have a flawed beleif, i feel that we are so small at this point in time that we might go on being christians and atheists till the end of the world and still not find any "truth" its all how we react to reality i suppose.
