»M3 in 5 simplistic sentences«

Just to demonstrate my frustration on M3, I made a complete description of whole M3 in just 4 senteces, to demonstrate how simplistic, lame was the script

1 - Trinity go to rescue neo from "nowhere " and in a 2 minutes fight she gets it.

2 - The Machines reach Zion. Zion's non-sensely-weak defense system is quickly destroyed.

3 - Neo is attacked by Smith/Bane. He becomes blind, but magically start seeing the unexplained golden-stuff, and using it, kills bane.

4 - Neo goes to the machines city and makes a deal with the God-machine. He will kick smith's ass, but want the machines to stop the attack in return.

5 - Neo kicks smiths ass but let Smith to take over him, so Smith can be deleted. End of story. Go home. The game is over. I said Go home ! I didnt ask you to spend months making theorys. Wait for the comics, and use your theories there. I dont care. Hey where is my wallet ? Wow... a quarter...!

That's it. 4 years of wait can be summarized in 5 lines.

I understand why your fustrated with it, i think i see why most people are, but personally i didn't think it was such a let down. There's heaps of hidden meaning in this movie. I admit the story line is a bit shody, not to mention things that are happening that i can't for the life of me work out (neo has sentinal fly through he's chest, emp's in Zion, etc)...

I didn't think it was all the bad either. Hell, I thought they finished it off perfectly as it is.

hidden meanings are cool as long as they dont take over EVERYTHING here we have a movie that does just that...

No, if it was, it would be one of those puzzles that you have to cross your eyes to see clearly

Just because we will be struggling with theories and ideas like...hmmm forever... (yeah, like there is nothing better to do) does not mean that this is a bad trilogy ON CONTRAIRE. Don't you see, perhaps it is one of the most amazing human-essence revealing stories of all time.
Even "you have to bring me the eyes of the oracle"..."hell no..."... was funny and had a time and a place.

Methinks he should look over some of the theories in the threads here.

There are a couple of really good explanations as to why everything happens the way it does inthe movie.

Heaven forbid someone have to use their brain when watching a movie to figure things out. (Be thankful we dont have David Lynch directing the movie unto which we wouldn't get anything NEAR a conclusion or an answer and the entire thing would be left up to us for any type of resolution.)

Here it is in ONE sentence.

1- Humans and machines both learn the value of the connection made possible by love and sacrifice, and start a new Revolution of peace.


I thought that was pretty clearly portrayed, and requires little extra explanation. Any story, true or otherwise, can be condensed and simplified. Good Example: Star Dudes

If you take everything in that mive and take it logicaly there is no plot hole...

2 - The Machines reach Zion. Zion's non-sensely-weak defense system is quickly destroyed. -No, Zion's defense is as powerful as these humans could make them. It's the machines that are powerful.

3 - Neo is attacked by Smith/Bane. He becomes blind, but magically start seeing the unexplained golden-stuff, and using it, kills bane. This post alone realizes you missed the magic of the movie. Neo is becoming the One to his full powers.

4 - Neo goes to the machines city and makes a deal with the God-machine. He will kick smith's ass, but want the machines to stop the attack in return. -Basically, because Smith will destroy the machines.

5 - Neo kicks smiths ass but let Smith to take over him, so Smith can be deleted. End of story. Go home. The game is over. I said Go home ! I didnt ask you to spend months making theorys. Looks like you entirely missed one of the greatest points of the movie. Sacrifice. Yeah we could have had Neo kick Smiths ass and then destroy the machines, and, you know what... we would have had every other action movie ever made. What makes the Matrix Trilogy so great is it's unique quality. It has superb action combined with deep philosophy. It tells a story on the outside, but makes us think hard within ourselves. People will talk about this movie for years, and there will actually be something worth talking about instead of "Wow, did you see that?" Who is still talking about Batman?

This is worth saying twice. If you don't like something, why join a forum dedicated to it? You make this a less enjoyable place for all of us who love these movies.

Im going nuts.. i think Isn't it wierd that the latest theories of our universe ie. string theory, holographic principle, 11 dimensions.... all have to do with perception, how we "see things". Neo can see the energy of all mater.... thanks to the electronics in his head and getting blinded ( by the light! hehe). Could you imagine if our eyes saw the code of mater.... atoms... quarks...strings.... we are not that far off from the movies PEOPLE. We think its just a dramatic tool to illustrate the point that we are code! are we not?.... the code at the begining of Reloaded tells us that... and Revolutions does the same but tries to bridge the gap between the digital and the analog... that is the mind fuck for me .... we have choices to make as humans. Either ignore that fact and destroy ourselves or see the light ... blah blah blah.. right?

I'm currently reading a book Holographic Universe by talbot. someone posted a link on this forum, to a intro. Thank you for, that btw! forgot ho you are.

Anyway, is there a topic here that discuesses the Holographic paradigm, or is there another forum that anyone knows of covering this (and other) topics.

Hah, say it again! If you think the Matrix sucks, why are you posting here? You belong in a forum/message board where people will support your opinion, not argue with you. You make this place suck for people who actually want to talk about the movies in depth, not try to summarise a whole string of themes in five sentences.

its the best movie i have ever seen..there is a lot of hidden meaning behind this and I love it

I can summarize it in five sentences...

1. Neo and Trinity appear to be truly soulmates and they operate as one whole.

2. Neo symbolically reincarnates and deals with his karma once and forall.

3. The main key is to "Know Thyself", that's why Neo fights his yin-side Smith in order to get to know himself better.

4. The machines were never evil, the humans were.

5. Neo's actions made the Matrix stable concerning the choice aspect.

I can't believe that there are people that can summerize what the brothers spent years of writing in 5 sentences, the people that can see behind the veil, would summerize it in maybe 5 not sentences but five pages at least, you started to talk like the critics that didn't understand the power of the movie, not to forget that lots of critics were too stupid to understand it..
For me I got stuck studying the brilliance of the sentence "the matrix has you", i started to write and write, and now you're saying that the whole matrix revolutions can be within 5 sentences!
