wake,
I almost got caught in just the same thing as you, but luckily, I previewed my work enough times so that i eventually just decided to change certain words I was using in my post to get rid of those damned testicles ( very disconcerting)

knn - you never did get back to me. What is the cause of these damn "testicles"?

I'm sure wake as well as others want to know seeing as we tend to be a bunch of enquiring minds and all....

I got so fed up with this idiom, that it is changed automatically to "These are my 2 testicles". I think it's just fair Whitelaugh

nightfallgames.co.uk...

Well basically, in a nutshell (if you can sum up a game in a nutshell)

The world of SLA Industries is run by a man called Mr SLAyer, the head of the corporation, who 900 years ago came to the universe of the game to solve all the Wars that were going on!

These were called The Conflict Wars!

Many species of creature died!

Only a few survived!

(These are the character classes you can play. As a character you work for SLA Industries doing whatever you are told to do really. Imagine a SLA Operative as an FBI agent except that the "Squads" of characters have to undertake tasks ranging from Sewer maintenance/mapping to the assassination of a High Power Corporate member!)

At first the game appears to be about Big Guns and Futuristic ideals!
However the tag line of the game is "Guns Kill, But So Does The Truth"

This is where the similarity REALLY takes place!

Ultimately while the game is about the players completing missions to increase their SCL (Security Clearance Level)
Its all about discovering the "Truth" behind SLA Industries!

The Whole Ethos of the "minds" of humanity being enslaved is not to dissimilar to that of SLA Industries. Only in SLA its "Souls"!

I really don't wish to say too much about the "Background" story of SLA as they are actually the Writers guidelines and I could be taken to court if I were to publish them.

When my Role playing group went to see "The Matrix" we ALL came out saying that that is almost an exact rip of the Truth of SLA.

There is a scene, in "The Matrix" where Morph takes Neo to see the Oracle. At the bottom of the block of flats, Before they enter the elevator to go up to see the Oracle Neo and Morph walk past a man sitting on a plastic chair and nod at him.

On the back of one of the vacant chairs are sprayed the letters "SLA"!

Coincidence?

Of course, however, the idea of the matrix has been around for decades!

Just my two scents

I have to agree somewhat. I don't see her name on the movies. She didn't make them. 3Tooth
