smith getting punched in the freakin' face in slow-motion was rad. it was the coolest slow-motion punch to the face i've ever seen. now, don't get me wrong i love the story. in fact, im the one people come to to get it explained, but as intellectually stimulating as the story is, you gotta love a good old-fashioned punch to the face.

NEO?! You scared the bejeezus out of me.

The best scene was after Smith and Neo slammed into the ground, creating a large crator.

Smith "Wait...I've seen this before. Yes! This is where I beat you! Now...I say something...what do I say? Whatever has a beginning has an end....What? What does that mean?"

That was a funny part Whitelaugh

right he wanted a friend to slam around and copy onto...he hates everyrthing human as shown when he fights neo in the real world or when he questions morpheus...

i laughed when he died...although it was a crappy and generic ending...

Another good part: in the same scene where Smith & Neo both hit out at the same time and get knocked back, Smith ploughs into the road like it were a sportsfield.

I think for the ending Smith should have tried to assimilate Neo but it doesnt work and all the other Smiths turn into Neos Smile .... Or am I just a bit crazy?

I really liked when Smith was in the kitchen, and threw the cookies into the wall. It made me smile.

Smith was definately the best character in the matrix. People will be remembering that dude for quite some time - even after they've got tired of the actual movies.

(bit like Zippy from "Rainbow" in that respect)

Anyway my favourite scene was probably the meeting with machine God. That face made of setinels was so cool! I want to be a setinel machine face.

I think one of the best bits was Neo Vs. Bain where Neo is blinded and Smith's about to crack his head open with the pipe. But then Neo ducks it and kills Bain. Very cool.

Trainman was also very entertaining.

My favorite scene would have to be when Neo just comes into the Matrix to confront Smith for the final time - just seeing him walk down that street with Smith's on either side of him was amazing, I thought. Then Smith's: "Mr.Anderson, welcome back. We missed you." Nice!

I also liked the scene where Neo and Bane/Smith (hehe) fought... Although, I almost jumped out of my seat when Neo went blind - I still liked how Neo still had the ability and choice to destroy his enemy without his primary sight.

It could have been his seventh grade Math teacher, Mr. Barham.

"Is that Mr. Barham? How did he get out of the Matrix?"

My one starts when he says “The program smith has grown beyond your control…” or something on those lines, then they plug him in and you get this Western stand off feel to it, where the bad guy is on one side and the good guy on the other ready to shoot, then the whole Smith speech “Mr. Anderson Welcome back, we missed you….. you like what I’ve done with the place? ‘Neo – It ends, tonight’. I know it does, I’ve seen it, that’s why the rest of us are just going to enjoy the show because we already know that I’m the one that Beats you” Kick ass music kicks in as they run towards each other. A classic Western like sci:fi action right here, Clint Eastwood was rolling.

Neo: "The program Smith has grown beyond your control. You cannot stop him, but I can"

Smith's slow-motion punch scene is the most realistic close-up of a computer animted face ever.

KingTut, if you don't like the movie, why post here?

Anyway, there are too many good scenes in the movie to narrow it down to one. If you want to take an entire long scene, the war scene really took my breath away. Hundreds of thousands of Sentinals swarming out of that hole in the dock and all the APU's firing at them. It was amazing. There were many cool parts of the Neo vs. Smith fight. The slow motion punch was probably the coolest 5 seconds of any movie.

About the Smith character, that actor is amazing. It makes me want to go see every movie he was ever in. First of all, he's British and there is no hint of an accent in the Matrix movies. His wire-fighting maneuvers were flawless. Nobody has such a cool and creepy voice and there is just something powerful about his character. But no one gives props to the guy who played Bane. His Smith impression was great. Cool

The Matrix has you...

Seraphim, it is *bane not bain. Just a fix.
Coolest part, goddamnit it is hard to figure. I loved the final battle, as I listen to Neodämmerung I get coldwires, can't help it. Also, Neo on the platform, of that machineship, dead, shining light, with that beautiful atmospheric music. It made me cry, almost but not quite. Whatthe
and not to mention, Burly Brawl in reloaded, goddamnit !

There is no spoon.
