Sorry if this has been mentioned before, i'm relatively new and there are lots of topics...

When Neo visits the Architect in Reloaded, he is in a room with banks of screens on the walls which the Architect uses to show Neo things.

Back in The Matrix (the first film i mean), when Thomas Anderson is captured by the agents, we see him in an interrogation room waiting to be questioned by Smith. We see him on lots of screens, then it zooms in to one.

Are these screens the same? Is this meant to be the Architect watching things unfold?

yes, those screens are exactly the same (at least in terms of production notes that i read on imdb.com). in terms of the plot, i think the architect is watching neo at all times. this is proven during their conversation when the architect answers his first question of "Why am I here?" you see neo's life in various stages in all the screens including scenes from M1 and M2.
