The Matrix Films are about Choice

Please excuse my train of thought....but here we go
I believe the matrix trilogy is all about CHOICE…..I am still trying to get my head round it. Once you have seen Revolutions, if you go back and watch the first matrix it all makes sense.
In the first film when Neo is freed from the matrix Morpheus explains that the person who created the Matrix freed the first of us…
okay perhaps this could have been the architect, or most likely some humans rejected the program which the architect created therefore they left the matrix.
Also in one of the movies I cant remember but, some one mentions ( I think architect) that the first matrix which was created was a perfect world and a lot of humans rejected it…..( also Agent Smith says that humans live on the idea of suffering). With humans outside in Zion trying to fight the machines and trying to free humans from the matrix, they could be doing this as they believe that all humans in the matrix have no choice….
However in the first film Sypher makes a deal with agent Smith, he is the first person to have a choice of whether he would like to be free or re enter the matrix…. This is where we see a person who had been freed into Zion, who wants to go back into the matrix. This is choice the possible idea behind the film is choice, the mind is free, however you can still be free in the matrix
Also at the end of the film the architech when talking to the oracle says he will free those who want to be freed. Again this is choice……………
To cut a long story short the films must be about choice……….When people go to see the oracle she tells you want you want to hear and you still have to make up your own mind…ie choice….the fundamentals about the matrix is choice..thus allowing the people within the matrix to function as normal…..however the people in Zion know there is a matrix and believe that people should not be in the matrix……..
However it is not up to Zion to decide whether people in the matrix want out…however if they are all given a choice then they can decide……The end of revolutions people will be freed if they want to, and Zion can stop fighting the machines.
Overall what would you do………you can leave the matrix and live in Zion, wear rag clothes and live underground, as above ground is a dump…
Or live in the matrix, and know no difference….
Either way you will be free……. in Zion your mind and body is free, but in the matrix your mind is free. When you dream sometimes you remember the dream next morning and it felt as real as if you were awake. The brain is active. It will be as free as in the real world (ie living in Zion)…………..Ie you cant take a bullet to the head in the real world and survive………equally the same for a human in the matrix…………..
When you dream sometimes you remember the dream next morning and it felt as real as if you were awake. The brain is active. If your mind is free..then you are free.

Not Just Choice but also Faith

I agree about the Choice theme but also have to add Faith as the other theme, Neo wasn't the One til he believed he was, like the Oracle said he had the gift but was waiting for something (Don't think you are, know you are - Morpheus), The recurring Choice and Faith themes resonate through all the characters in all three movies, some showing more logical choice traits while others lean towards faith, I also think the balance everyone in all the other threads keeps ranting about and feverently trying to understand is not about mathematics or codes or Agents or machines or any of that, it's too complicated, the balance is between Faith & Choice. Disregard this if you like, remember its your CHOICE but its my opiniion and as entertaining as the Matrix Trilogy was its only film, take some of the thoughts and philosophy and maybe find something for you from them but don't waste the precious time we have baking your noodle trying to figure out what the Wachowski's were trying to say, they've done what they wanted and made a lot of money from while entertaining and possibly educating us.
