I can finally see why people don't want moderators here. I love being called an idiot. Too bad that the person correcting me is unable to create a decent English sentence...

I guess this just shows the level of thinking here. Have you ever considered not spamming, or is it a way of life you have dedicated yourself to?

HU

i appreciate your attempt at ridding the site of spam

but to simply insult people and thier "level of thinking" isnt going to solve the problem

the fact remains that you either like the site the way it is...hate the spamming but put up with it

or leave

whats really ironic is that you have used more posts complaining about spamming that actually contributing thoughtful posts...so you cant critisise other peoples "level of thinking" when most people in forum clearly try much harder than you to post meaninful and insightful contributions

First of all, he offended me first by calling me and idiot, something I do not particulary enjoy being called.

Secondly, how many posts do I have, 30? Do you actually believe these posts actually represent my posting? I have 1700 posts on

matrixmania.com,...
so go there if you want to see my meaningfull contributions.

I tried to discuss some stuff, but the only person willing to discuss it with me was a friend of mine of the above site, and it's "sister-site".

You are correct though, that some members are trying harder, but some members are also failing much more miserable than me, by posting something like:

Quote:

Nono

I visited your forum, viewed some threads, and I began posting in some threads I found interesting, sadly most of these threads were about the (mis-)adminstration of this board.

Do you really believe I like to see a site in this condition? I hate spam, really I do, and it saddens my heart to see such an arrogant adminstrator do so little for his members.

But, again, that is just my view on this "business". Thank you for listening Wink.

If you think the above post was meant to be taken seriously, you are more insane than I am!

Hello HU, I've also posted at Matrix mania. I was Deus-Ex-Smith there.
I'm sorry that this site is not up to your expectations, but I can't do anything about it my friend, I only wish I could.

I've sent a heart felt message to the Admin, and I'm awaiting a reply.
In the meantime

, lets all try to get on please! There really is no point in insulting each other. We are all here for the same reason, the love of the Matrix Trilogy, so let us get on with each other.
I've been trying really hard to keep things from falling apart; I love this site & feel as if I want to protect it, that's why I TRY to moderate in an unofficial sense.

Comon' guys, help me out here...Until I hear from Knn, we're on our own. Cool

Whats with all this nastyness? This is a pleasant forum, KnnKnn is a good admin and I dont see that there is a problem to argue over. In fact, my time here has been very worthwhile and i`ve seen some really good contributions by everyone. Stop all this mudslinging.

It is not true that you can get more energy from humans than from the sun, but it's exactly the opposite.

Even if there are Millions or Billions of humans generating energy? Just curious.

Of course there's a God, the Wachowski brothers were devinely inspired!

Since the sun doesn't penetrate the clouds, it's very cold at the surface, where the humans are in pods.

So there are two possibilities:

1) They use a heatin system to keep the bodies warm
2) They rely on the human bodies to keep themselves warm

Both are acceptable solutions, and both could explain how they keep the people alive in the pods. However, both involve an immense energy supply. One to keep the people warm, two to compensate for the energy that is lost when heating up the bodies.

Liquifying the dead isn't enough to support millions or billions.. Not enough people die, and if enough people died, humanity would extinct.

So, they need to input extra power instead of actually gaining energy. This renders the entire Matrix obsolete.

Unless, you consider honour. These machines have been abused by humans, but they never forgot their original purpose: To serve mankind. Perhaps they still feel this need to serve their previous masters, and have therefore chosen to keep them inside the Matrix.

Well, that's my explanation of the Energy need... Hope it helped you a bit, Tug.

That's real life. And that's "forum". And if you are an forum moderator and really try to ban all words like "idiot", "stupid" and "sucks" then you should prepare yourself to fight against windmills.

Yep, I agree. Having "only" 30 posts doesn't mean too much. If they are good, they are good. And if 300 posts are bad then 300 posts are bad.

I don't see that a post consisting of 1 smilie is spam. Sorry. But you can call me arrogant. THAT's my idea of free speech. Everybody is free to call me an "arrogant spam lover". Cool

Exactly. Otherwise all forums would be "ForumUniversale"

in-my-opinion.org...

ebooks-download.com...

you just need to look at how off topic the thread "free your biased opinion" has gotten.

but just because it is off topic does not mean it is spam...the content on that thread is very hard hitting stuff

In my experience nearly every topic becomes chit chat after a few posts. Thus there is nothing you can do about it...

the anomaly wrote:

i believe the only role of the moderator should be to channel these threads into the correct places...but that would be exeptionally difficult as for most threads it would mean changing the titles and people who posted would get lost and would not see replies to thier posts

Exactly. The rare cases where I changed the title were threads which I considered to be too important to be overlooked because of a boring title like "My Question"

Will stay, what else?
I would be the $%#* admin of all if I decided to delete the forum. What a sin! What a waste of precious opinions. What a document of history would get lost. What a pity for all those Matrix pictures.

There is only 1 reasons why I would delete this forum:
The internet gets abolished
